Oh, good point, @Dragon-Snapper. I didn’t even think about Rogue One, which is kind of dumb, because I just saw it the other day. *ducks from flying embers of chair* *point very much taken* OKAY. Go see it. Really. Go melt everyone’s chair at the theater so they’ll leave and you can get in. Or I might have to get my bow and see if you have any…[Read more]

Okay, here’s the pick of the litter: The Silver Spark/Flame, The Rogue Blade, The Spark/Flame of the Dimwood (courtesy of Daeus 😉 ).
I’m thinking I want to go with Spark over Flame, as long as it doesn’t sound juvenile, because rebellion is the flame, and Rodyn’s the one who sparked it. And silver is banned from being worn, because it was the…[Read more]

Yeah, it’s a play. Last year, they did one of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and it was SO GOOD. LWW being one of my favorite things ever (book and movie), I wasn’t expecting much, but they really did an incredible job on it. So good, in fact, that Doug Gresham actually flew over from England for the premiere of PC. I thought that was kind of neat. 🙂

@Jess Yeah, I bet you don’t get them too often. 🙂 I, on the other hand, used to live in Canada, specifically during the winter several years ago that was supposedly the worst one they’ve had in 40 or 50 years. I’ve never quite liked snow again after that. 😉

@Dragon-Snapper That’s hilarious! She’s ‘just curious’, of course. Good to know your writer’s block has passed, or whatever it was. *awkwardly pats your head while trying to avoid getting melted*

Whew, that’s a relief! And actually, the person who told me that just said that the name has grown on her since last we talked about it, so I feel reassured. @Christi-Eaton, he is officially Rodent among the villains. I just can’t help it. 😛
@Emma-Flournoy I’ve actually never heard of The Court Jester, maybe I should look into it. 🙂 I love…[Read more]

Thank you all for praying for my mother. We were going to go down to South Carolina as a family trip to see the Academy of Arts production of Prince Caspian, but we had bought the tickets back in July, and they don’t usually let you exchange, so when her health started…[Read more]

Quick poll: Someone told me the name ‘Rodyn’ made them think of ‘rodent’. I told them that actually, Rodyn means marsh, so… 😉 BUT I don’t want his name to conjure a picture of every kind of wrong. So tell me, does Rodyn make you think of rodent?

@Northerner @PerfectFifths Oh, the puns. Seriously, I’m going to put that in about the staff, just as a side joke. And no one will ever really get it but us… XD
And Disney Robin Hood is the BEST ROBIN HOOD EVER. Just sayin’.
I’m starting to consider Rodyn having several different titles. Like, to the common people, his name would be something…[Read more]

@Emma-Flournoy. Aww, thanks. We were going to go to the Academy of Arts production of Prince Caspian in South Carolina, but the performance we were going to up being canceled due to bad weather. So it’s kind of an indirect answer to prayer, because now we can exchange our tickets for a later performance when, Lord willing, Mom will be feeling b…[Read more]

Hello lovely wide world of Kingdom Pen! I have something for you to ponder when you’re not busy:
I have this character named Rodyn. (Yes, people, this is a fantasy. 😛 ) And he’s the dashing young leader of a raggle-tag group of commoners who hide out in the woods and try to sabotage the oppressive government as often as they can, as well as help…[Read more]

@emma-flournoy Hey, if you’re a wizard, you’re never late!
Ok, I know that one’s a little over used. I couldn’t help it. Lord of the Rings Geek compulsion. 😉
@aysia-serene Astrid isn’t real. *blinks foggily* Whoa. I never saw that one coming. Ok. *shakes head to clear the fog* I’ll add that one to the list of strange book-to-movie differences.
