Same for the photoshoot, and the fact that I don’t think I look very good.

(I think my little sisters have those!) Well, usually I procrastinate on what I should be doing, then school and duties take up most of my time. I don’t have a lot of irl friends, tbh, so I will usually spend real free time writing or planning things for writing…[Read more]

  • @unsung, me too. It’s actually the result of an association I have with a girl names Melina and my saying “cool lima beans” then having it changed to “cool Lina beans” by a mutual friend.

Ohh, fun! I have ideas for pictures/photoshoots/artwork, but none of the skills to actually bring them to the light of day.

What is your favorite pastime…[Read more]

  • @unsung, ok, cool Lina beans. (You can if you want. I’ve it set so I get an email, even without the tag. 😉)

It is a pretty great plot idea. I have lots more that I don’t have enough writing time for, haha. 😅 I’d share them, but I might use them if I try write an article for Kingdom Pen or something.

  • @unsung (do you want me to stop tagging you?)

I do to! I’m just pretty bad at learning them, and I don’t really have any way to.

Haha, yeah, definitely. Yeah, cool. I kinda like the idea of intentionally using a cliche but making it super interesting. For example, I have an idea for a pretty cliche villain, but there’re good reasons for why he…[Read more]

    Thank you! 🙂

I do, and I think if I did, I would start with learning Dutch, then move to French or Spanish or both, and after that I’d try to learn Italian and/or Elvish.

Have you ever intentionally used cliches? I’ve been thinking about how to use cliches but use them really well, and not have them be bad things.
    It’s actually fun, and…[Read more]

  • @unsung, I will admit, it is pretty fun. 🙃 To just imagine and make up in my head and to write. Aww, heh, thank you. I do try. 😊

Fun! (That’s still cool, and very nice of your brother.) lol

  • @denali-christianson

LOL YOU’RE WELCOME XD Haha I literally felt that XD I’m only good at fantasy language  and LATIN I’VE LEARNED LATIN AND I LOVE IT lol I should try to learn some others…

    Eh.

    I’ll stick to Elvish.

I’m not good at anything besides English and Latin, and the language I’m trying to make up but is unfortunately for a different…[Read more]

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!! That is actually pretty amazing. (I WISH I HAD THE SKILL TO MATCH MY LANGUAGE OBSESSION, but I’m the sort of person who’d love to learn all the languages in the world, but can’t because I just can’t learn any languages. 😭 I have learned Latin, and I know English, but besides that what I know is…[Read more]

  • (Is this like a line by line role play, or a scene by scene role play sort of thing?)

My character named Sofia enters. (She could use some development, everywhere, lol)

  • Ok, bow with this, I (unfortunately) DEFINITELY KNOW WHERE TO START.

HOW DO I COME UP WITH NAMES FOR MY WORLD THAT AREN’T TOALLY WACKO??? (And fit the tone I want them to set…)

But literally, names for places, specifically, are my difficult point.

So! What are y’all tips and/or processes for this??

  • @denali-christianson

Awesome!! I’ll go over when I get to reading The Silm after the other book I’m working on. 🙂 It was AWFUL. Especially because I love reading so much, and there was so much I wanted to read, I just literally couldn’t pick up a book and read it, except when I really had to, like for school. I WILL!!!! We. Will. Rant.

    I’d…[Read more]

  • The only way to leave Bust is by getting on a very specific train and riding it out.

There aren’t many laws in Bust besides the more secular ones of the Ten Commandments, but there are rules about how Bust works, which allows for fictional characters to visit it.

Anyone can get to Bust, through any means, and always on accident. Wherever the c…[Read more]

THANK YOU!! I’d love to rant!! (Forgive me if I haven’t read the book in a while, though. I got into a reading rut that lasted more than a year and haven’t worked my way back to Tolkien level, yet, unfortunately. I’m getting closer every day, though! (And it was awf…[Read more]

Since I can’t really figure out where to put it, I’m just going to rant about one of my projects here.

The first is just a fun story I’m working on with characters submitted by a bunch of people in another forum I’m on. It is set in a place called Bust, and has tons (200 actually marked down and used, but way more unexplored) of differe…[Read more]

    @Unsung

Thank you! I hope it stays that way when I am done writing it! What a coincidence!

It does sound meaningful? Good! 😅 Because that has become my greatest concern.

(I had a similar thought!) While MC’s death won’t spark a rebellion, it will cause much anger against him and he will be very painfully stripped of his gift (painful for him…[Read more]

    @GodlyFantasy12

I’m not struggling with the death (that is set) but with why he dies.

I’m sorry it is so confusing. I was having a difficult time explaining it clearly.

I do plan on having the antagonist go through a redemption arc, if he can (I’m not completely sure if it is compatible with his character). He will be given a chance to redeem…[Read more]

  • My most current WIP has been coming along really well, and I’ve got a lot figured out, but now I’m struggling with one point.

(I don’t know where to start.)

It is crucial that my MC die in the story (crazy, I know), and he is killed by the antagonist.

My MC has two gifts/abilities which makes him very unique and powerful. He believes that with…[Read more]
