@godlyfantasy12 yeah, so, basically, she has a built in radar, as well as super-hearing, super-smell, super-taste, and super-sensitive touch (super senses, really). In her universe, she can hear the entirety of Earth without even trying. She sees things in a sort of negative photo way, but without any colors. And, even if her radar is neutralized,…[Read more]

The boy and girl rushed for the warm firelight, stopping once they had reached it. The boy drew his sword, clumsily but bravely. The girl lifted a torch from its place and held it up, casting a circle or warm light around the two of them. Milla hesitated in the darkness as the boy…[Read more]

She is. Milla is from a Daredevil fanfic I wrote after reading all the Daredevil comics and the MC2 comics. I love comic Daredevil, but I really wish he’d settle down and start a family, because that’s be cool and he needs it to keep him from all the things he’s doing nowadays.
So, Mills’s fanfic is my solution: he has settled down an…[Read more]

No! She’d made a mistake! Their heartbeats which has slowed slightly at her words raced even harder than before when she’d used their names. She’d made a mistake any maybe screwed it all up.

There are misconceptions, but I can’t remember any specifically, so… yeah. One of the coolest things I can think of at the moment is how the Holy Eucharist, at the moment of the consecration, whether the host and wine physically change to Christ’s body and blood or not, it is a miracle because the words of the consecration are so powerf…[Read more]

Enemy Brother for sure. I love that book and the whole decision Max makes at the end is so much more emotional when I don’t know it’s coming and I just love being introduced to and falling in love with Dym, so getting to do it over again fresh would just be like discovering reading again. ☺️ And anyway, that’s a good book, fresh or reread. The children were moving again. Had they heard her? They couldn’t have; she was practically a ghost because of the Hand. Nothing would erase their ingrained methods of silent movement, now.
Two other groups of people met up elsewhere, their words faint but clear to her.
“Is everything alright?”
“Yes, but I suggest we c…[Read more]

Ah, ok. I hope we get SOME answers in this book, even if not all of them!! (I want to know who the last two Black Swan leaders are, and what Mr. Forkle’s original registered name is, etc. heh)

I can think of plenty about Catholicism to share, but I would share better if there’s something specific you want to know. 🙂
(I prefer not to mention it so much, nowadays, because it can seem like I’m bragging, but since you asked, I will tell.) I am fifth of fourteen siblings, with no sets of twins. 🙂 My oldest brother is married and…[Read more]

That is wonderful advice, thank you!! I will definitely use something like what you mentioned, now that you bring it to my attention!

WIP HofE: make the parents super strict and awful; make the MC very rebellious; diversify the main and side characters and definitely have a romance/love triangle between some of the six main SCs, and a love triangle between the MC, her love, and one of the other six SCs; include more dragons and make then nastier; possibly mess up the villains;…[Read more]

She has red hair, blue eyes, and wears a suit similar to the one Elektra wears in her 2017 run of comics, except instead of a red cloth over her mouth, she wears it over her eyes, like Matt does in the first Netflix season of Daredevil.
Also, I forgot to mention that, somewhere in all her life happenings, she accidentally took a jaunt over to 616…[Read more]

(Prepare for a massive character intro…)
Milla Murdock is the daughter of Matthew Murdock, alias Daredevil. She has his red hair and blue eyes, and also inherited his Daredevil powers from him, except the range of her power is turned WAY up, and with her hearing alone, she can locate anything or anyone on earth. (If she concentrates, she can…[Read more]

ALL the secrets? o.o Now I’m a little more nervous and excited!
I’m not the biggest fan of all the main characters, but they are very good, and it’s really only Sophie I can say I have any real problems with.
I don’t know if worldbuilding is my strongest suit, tbh, but I LOVE it and honestly, I sometimes prefer it to the actual…[Read more]

This is the one about the mentor MC, yes.
I should probably explain a little further.
MC struggled with self-doubt. As a double gifted (and the only one ever), he believes that he has a responsibility to make big changes to the world. But, he doesn’t know how he is supposed to do that, especially since there is nothing really b…[Read more]

SO, I have two side character (or three) that I need to develop a bit more.
(This is for the story I was asking about the death of a character, if anyone remembers that… the WIP acronymed FP,WS.)
So, the MC has two students he’s teaching.
The theme is about changing the world and how you change the world in a meaningful way.
I already know…[Read more]

EmilySF replied to the topic Have you ever written a sad ending to a story? in the forum Topic of the Week 2 years, 6 months ago
I have written a short story/novelette with a tragic ending. At least, I’m pretty sure it qualifies as a tragic ending, but it is more of a poetic justice sad ending.
The story end with a pirate captain’s 4 year old daughter getting amnesia and disappearing, and him getting super depressed and drunk, but at the very end he decides to go looking…[Read more]
