@emily-d I love big draft horses too! Clydesdales are SO CUTE! I like Friesians too. They’re just gorgeousness! I ride a Friesian Quarter horse cross. His name is Tux. He’s so adorable and such a goof ball! I have to think twice about wearing a hoodie with draw strings around him ’cause he’ll want to play with the strings. I love ‘im though ❤

@emily-d I am sooooo glad you like pride and prejudice too. It is one of my all time fav books. I was also in a play about it. Have you read any other Jane Austen books?

@emily-d I had to read this book for school (i’m homeschooled), and I have to admit I opened it expecting to dislike it, because I didn’t really want to read romantic books. But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the wit of the characters (Elizabeth is my fave). I’m probably gonna read other books by Jane Austen in the…[Read more]

@emily-d I really, really liked A Wrinkle In Time
It was thoughtful, meaningful, almost spiritual, and it had a lot of intriguing symbolism and thing s like that. Open respect for Christianity, too, although it did mention there being good qualities in other religions.
Plus, Meg and Calvin are really great characters. Meg’s internal conflicts…[Read more]

@emily-d *pursues* *growls ferociously* …Just kidding ;P I see what you’re saying about the weirdness and stuff. Personally, I like it because of the action, and because it was interesting seeing what Meg was learning.
I hear there’s a new movie coming out, so maybe that one will be better. Although, it’s a Disney movie, so… I don’t kn…[Read more]

@emily-d I got through like a third of the book before I… got bored of it. It’s intriguing, and very well-written, but there’s barely any action, just talking. And talking. And talking. Is suppose if I read the rest of it I would change my mind…… But it’s been awhile, and I think I’d have to start over at the very beginning.
So…[Read more]

@emily-d 😀 Yeah, I have read it
I was at first expecting to completely hate it
But, I actually really like it
Elizabeth is a great character, and the plot is interesting, and Jane Austen’s writing is really sophisticated and intelligent
It’s lacking all of its dragons, and 100% percent of its epic battle scenes, but it’s still quite…[Read more]

@emily-d No, I’m afraid I haven’t read this one either. I have a friend who adores Jane Austen books, but as for myself, I’m not particularly fond of books with a strong romantic slant.
Oh by the way, thank you for introducing me to Sigmund Brouwer! 😃 I received one of his books for Christmas (Robot Wars: Death Trap) and I enjoyed it so much I…[Read more]

@emily-d I LOVE WRINKLE IN TIME!!!! It’s so exciting and epic! And also symbolic, although I haven’t quite figured out what exactly the stuff symbolizes…
What was your favorite part? I like the part at the end where Meg saves Charles from IT with love.
Mind if I bring in another Wrinkle in Time fan?
@graciegirl! Get over here!

@Emily-d Yes, I love Lauren Daigle, she’s amazing! I especially like her song Come Alive. What’s your favorite song by her?
Newsies is a musical (but not a really old musical, it was made around thirty years ago) about Newsies fighting for workers’ rights in New York. I’m not usually into musicals, but that one was awesome–it’s really exciting,…[Read more]

@emily-d Yes, a few years ago. And watched the movie, but that’s not worth the time, to be honest. 😉
I quite enjoyed it. It was very different from any story I had read at that time, having not read a lot of sci-fi. It was part of our home-school English reading, I think, because I remember we had to draw what one of the planets looked like and…[Read more]

@emily-d I have read it, but it was a very long time ago. I don’t remember liking it that much and thinking that it was just too weird for my taste.
What did you think of it?

@emily-d Oh, I’ve heard some of Afters’ songs–I really like them! 😀
I own the soundtracks to Narnia and Newsies–I like the music from Percy Jackson, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Courageous, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, the list goes on…I have a cousin who owns a ton of soundtracks. : )
Have you seen Newsies?

@emily-d Yes, I have read the Wars of the Realm series–it’s awesome! I think it has a really ingenious plot.
I don’t play any instruments, but I love singing, listening to the songs my sister comes up with on the piano, and listening to movie soundtracks. What kind of music do you like?
