Jenna Terese replied to the topic "The Canterbury Tales…" and Other Stuff by Chaucer in the forum Book Discussions 8 years, 5 months ago
@dekreel I’ve actually only read a little bit of The Canterbury Tales for school. I did like it though, and asked my mom if I could buy the whole book (because there was only a little bit in the British literature book I was reading)

@waterlily I have soooo many books on horse care and training. I’ve been studying natural horsemanship and I’ve gone to a Clinton Anderson clinic.
Yes, I am dying waiting until summer when the season starts. My teacher said some of the clinics we’ll learn how to lunge horses and work them from the ground, so that’ll be great experience for me.…[Read more]

@seekjustice Lol, yeah might not want to yell out how most of the characters end up at the end of the book! That guy will find out for himself one day…..
I didn’t know you ride horses! (or did i?) Do you have a favorite breed?
@seekjustice @perfectfifths Yup, fallen off a horse twice and almost two other times. No broken bones…[Read more]

@dekreel Awesome! I like the girl with the hat too.
@sarah-anson This is great! I’ve literally drawn one boy in my whole life and it didn’t turn out boyish enough

@epicaddie2 One more thing…this is a story that has inspired me in the darkest times of my life.
One night a man had a dream. He dreamt he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints on the sand — one belonging to him and the other to the Lord. When…[Read more]

@epicaddie2 I wish I could hug you right now! I totally know what you’re going through…I’ve been there myself and it’s so easy to lose sight of the fact that God is there with us no matter what. And if it’s any encouragement, you have friends here. Hang in there and keep plowing through. God has something absolutely beautiful plan…[Read more]

@seek justice Well, more correctly a horse bolted on me and threw me, and I broke my wrist but basically, yeah.
Yikes.
Uh, no. I was having a lesson. It was quite unexpected – the horse I was on was about 14 and usually very placid.

Here is a better example of my manga/cartoon blend style. I usually just draw profiles. The girl with the hat is my favorite 🙂

@princessfoo Your WIP sounds cool. I’ve heard the portal thing is a little cliche, but I really like the idea. 😉I’m sure you can turn that cliche on its head and make it unique though👍

@rochellaine OH, SPANISH MOSS!!! Yes, that is gorgeously mysterious!
@princessfoo Heheh, that’s funny. I can totally imagine that happening to me.
@mariposa Yeah I think I’ve gotten the “How you gonna pay the bills?” question at least once.
Funny the mistakes we make in writing…..Thank goodness for editing………i guess. 🤔

@dragon-snapper I feel your pain! Maybe you just need to step away from the novel for a few days and literally not think about it ONE BIT. Then you might feel more refreshed coming back to it. What seems to snap me out of writer’s block pretty consistently is listening to music for the scene I’m stuck on. that really gets me in the mood. Maybe…[Read more]
