@that_writer_girl_99 I haven’t completely articulated that yet 😛 I had a synopsis, but it’s changing now. Basically, it’s a fantasy/sci-fi with a hint of dystopian. A girl from twenty-fourth century earth gets turned into the authorities by her family and wakes up on a different planet. She has a device that can take her home, but it’s broken.…[Read more]

*reluctant sigh* I know you’re right, but I’m going to have to get used to writing that way.
Are you still on? I know we’ve covered a lot today–benefits of being done with school on my end: I’m online a lot–but now that I’m actually writing, I have a question about a character.

Indeed you did! @audrey-caylin
Oh…I haven’t read the series in so long…I have to say that I ultimately loved Firestar the most, but Bramblestar is a good character as well.

@that_writer_girl_99 *squeals as well* I found another Warriors fan! Jayfeather was always my favorite character, btw. xD

@winter-rose Real Life just doesn’t understand how important our writing is, does it? Bye. 🙂
@audrey-caylin That…actually sounds really awesome, though I know it must seem irritating now. What’s the novel about?

*squeals* I read those books too! They’re amazing. @audrey-caylin

@winter-rose Bye!!
@that_writer_girl_99 yep. There’s a certain character I have that I want to become more of a main antagonist in my novel, which I’m about to rewrite. This character is being very stubborn and secretive, so… *glares at character*

@that_writer_girl_99 wow, that’s awesome! I think I recall having a Star Wars obsession myself right after I saw it. I got into writing mostly through Erin Hunter’s Warrior books *blushes* It’s kind of silly, since the characters are cats, but I loved everything about them.

You’ve rubbed off on me @graciegirl
Ugh, yes. I am constantly fighting with the autocorrect on my phone.

*grins* I’m grateful for everyone here.
Oh, hey Audrey! An interview, huh?

Elizabeth replied to the topic Ren in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 5 months ago
Absolutely! @audrey-caylin I saw A New Hope when I was eleven, and I was fascinated by almost everything about it. The fact that the entire film trilogy happened in the future enthralled me. I fell in love with it right from the start.
The character arcs, the plot, the idea of the Force…everything about SW resonated with something inside me.…[Read more] -

@that_writer_girl_99 really?!? That’s so cool! May I ask what about Star Wars inspired you particularly?
-
Elizabeth replied to the topic Ren in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 5 months ago
Have I mentioned that Star Wars is one of the main reasons I started writing?

*hangs head* Yes ma’am… *salutes*
Snapper, you are one intimidating Dragon. Almost more so than @kate-flournoy
@graciegirl I may or may not have used your famous “zikers” phrase in a conversation with my sister the other day. She looked at me like I was crazy.

Audrey Caylin replied to the topic Ren in the forum General Writing Discussions 9 years, 5 months ago
@dragon-snapper I am a star wars fan, but I haven’t watched the movies in too long (except for the new ones) 😛 But now I have a new fascination with the main characters’ arcs and Anakin has inspired me to make one of my characters go on a corruption arc. xD

I too am a Star Wars fan. @dragon-snapper
Happy Star Wars day, all. May the 4th be with you all! @perfectfifths @kateflournoy @daeus

I agree wholeheartedly. @winter-rose
Well…it’s actually a tad complicated. See, I’ve been writing for a long time, but all of my previous works were just for fun, and what’s more, they were nothing like the story I’m working on now.
Most of them were written without an outline, and are consequently collecting dust in my metaphorical Vault of…[Read more] -

@winter-rose @that_writer_girl_99 mind if I jump in? A certain character of mine needs a serious interview right now 😉

Aha. Well. On the bright side, at least you can draw. Some of us *coughs* are still in the trees and abstracts stage. @kate-flournoy
Erm, I’m working on re-constructing the part of the third chapter you read earlier? I’m actually happy with how it’s turning out.
