Leo
His eyebrows quirked, but he didn’t question Rory’s agitated silence. God knew what was going through the kid’s head.
He flicked the torch on to a low, white flame. The sealent bubbled a bit under the heat. He slowly turned it up to a much hotter blue, thankful for his well fired gauntles. His visor closed of it’s own…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle @linus-smallprint If all else fails, remember that your guys’ stories, no matter what they are, will make so much more impact in the world than mine.

Here, some Bible verses for you right now:
10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Chr…

Sorry to make you depressed. I know I do have a tendency to see the negative over the positive. (Just ask my sister, Ellie, about the feedback I give her on her books!) Others like Liberty and Hybridlore seem to be enjoying it, though, so don’t you take my feedback as a sign that this shouldn’t be written. I know Leon is one of…[Read more]

Leo
He waited for Rory to move back before slipping on his helmet, but, just as he readied the torch, something told him to stop.
Why is he staring at me?
“You good kid? Do you-” Leo stopped, fingers about to drop his visor frozen in place. Something about the kid reminded him of a test pilot who’d nearly gone down with his…[Read more]

@ellette-giselle I can understand the raining part lol. Me, I actually like it when it’s raining, but the humidity that comes afterward plus the frequent 80-90 degree weather is not fun at all.

@ellette-giselle not gonna lie, I’ve never seen you as….as…. *gestures to your depressed posts* this. Critics are likely gonna say way worse about your book, and won’t be as nice as Linus or any of the rest of us about it. It’s just the life of an author.
Also, remember, you can say no to feedback. If you don’t agree with something he said,…[Read more]

I wonder……. these books were written so long ago and comparing them to the stuff I have written now, they’re just not as good at all.
I feel you. I look back at some of my old work and I’m like “I wrote this??? Sheesh, this is terrible!”
But then sometimes I look back at my old work and I’m like “With a little reworking, this c…[Read more]

I suppose you could start earlier.

“We’re going to fix this tile.”
He opened the bottle of sealant and carefully poured it into the cracks between shards. It pooled over the tile in a nice, whitish gloup. Using a paint scraper from his belt, Leo spread the stuff out until both broken tiles were covered in an even layer.
“This stuff will set up hard as steel…[Read more]

“Ah! Many thanks. You didn’t cut yourself, did you?”
Rory looked down at his gloved hands and shrugged. Leo carefully picked up the shard. It slipped in place, filling the largest gap.
Maybe he wouldn’t need aluminum alloy after all. Which was good. He’d have had to leave Rory here guarding their work to go find some, and…[Read more]

“Eh, maybe.” He looked up, eyebrows bunching together. “Except the plan is to get everything to fit perfectly together. So, maybe.”
He settled another piece in place. One tile was coming together quite nicely.
“I’d think of it more like fitting a bomb shell with it’s cordinants. All the bits have to be just so, or your…[Read more]

“Good question.” He sat back on his heels and reached for another broken piece. “I think it’s some sort of game, or at least that’s what a friend of mine said. You have a picture that’s been cut up into a lot of pieces, and you have to put the pieces together to see the full picture. Or something like that.”
He rearranged…[Read more]
