Leo
“Sure.” He smiled down at the girls. Their tails were something to get used to, but he had seen weirder things here.
The hall was long and curved, so that in a few paces they had lost sight of the others. Soon the somber red doors have way to bright yellows…[Read more]

This group is kinda big and I’m getting a bit confused. Is it alright if we split up? If no you can ignore this rp
The Twins
The girls crept closer to Leo, getting a bit overwhelmed by all the new people showing up, Ellie especially.
“Hey, Leo,” Ed said, “Wanna show us where the kindergarten classroom is?”

question: what do you think of the Seven year jump forward ending?
Hmm, I don’t mind it. It’s a little strange if your second book is going to pick up right where this one left off, but that’s not a bad thing.
were you sad Aaron died?
Yes, but oddly enough, when a God-fearing character dies in a story, I’m not usually as sad as I…[Read more]

Yup, you can delete Reedsy links and even add expiry dates to them! It is free as well. I recommend you read through their terms and conditions first though, just to double-check that they do not claim any rights to the books you put on there. (Something I’ve been meaning to do myself.)

I kinda don’t mind that you know all of that from that little end part. But would you as a reader rather not know it?
If you don’t mind, leave it. Depending on when you publish it, you can go back and change this later.
AWESOME!! You’ll have to introduce her to me when/if she does. That has to be soooo fun having a sibling who als…

Woah. Lotsa questions. (I completely understand though. Your gonna get lotsa questions whin I finish my current draft of The Cost)
Is that a bad thing? Do you feel like it spoils too much? What can you tell me is definitely going to happen from that scene. (Just so I can gage how much it actually does give away)

I feel like maybe we should have freedom post a pic of Fun because some of us here have seen his face claims and some haven’t, which is kinda unfair? Anyone else have thoughts?

On the other hand, do you mean that you believe it is wrong for a woman to enlist?
I personally can’t find scripture against a woman joining military, or fighting in real life on way or another.
Now, when women fight, things get ugly. My brother and I have discussed this before, having both done similar research, and I’d like…[Read more]

Ok, Y’all. This topic has gone deep. XD Wow. That’s good though. We should really pull apart why we are writing what we are writing. I’m getting a fresh look at my own characters too.
There are many facets to what y’all are saying. I will say first off, that the reversal of the “da…[Read more]

BiNg!
*screen comes to life*
That would depend on what you mean by “norms”. To be blatant, I don’t like crossdressing, and other such greying of lines. I like lines. I also like to know exactly why that line is there, and if it is a good line. As long as this “norm” isn’t a biblical thing, or crosses a line I’ve personally dr…[Read more]

Um, because I like it. Is it bad? I can cut it. I just felt like it was a nicer ending the Sabina crying, plus I have a seven year jump ending in the next one, and a several year jump in the last one.
Well, it just gives away some of what will happen to the characters. That’s all.
As for the cover, I’m not sure what you are using…[Read more]

But, Sabina is in no place to be reading at the moment. So, this letter actually wouldn’t show up until the second book when Sabina gets a POV in the very beginning. Do you think it would be better to shift it to book two. It would be Aaron’s last letter, and it would be unread. So, the reader would know he wrote it, but never kno…

No, wait, your not supposed to be one yet! Grrrr. (Explanation: I told myself I would get the next scenes fully edited and cleaned up before you or Keilah got on and commented on my WIP. I failed. lol)

My brother would most certainly not be smiling. He’d be saying, “What the heck are you doing?”
Lol XDXD I get that. The brother would think she’s crazy at first and he’d be scared for her, but it’s still a gesture of love.
If she was going to go with him, at all, she should go as a nurse or something and work behind battle lines…

Of course, in the best scenario. Do you see how going with him represents victory over her fear? Can you imagine the smile on her brother’s face when she insists on doing everything he has to do, right alongside him? Even if it isn’t the best thing that could have happened?
