I LOVE the poem. I feel like I relate so much to that lately.

And attaching it to a character would definitely evoke a deeper more emotional connection to them.

Sadly I have had little to no time to think up a poem and even less inspiration. But I repeat the sentiments of @lewilliams above ⬆️ that I would be excited about a contest like this if you happen to be hosting another in the future. 😁

An ignorant Canadian such as I shall have to google it. *leaves and googles then returns* Those are some cool looking trees! They look like trees that have fern foliage and mini berries.  The poem is now perfectly clear. 😜

It’s awesome when one can write down poetry right in the moment and in the environment it comes from.

Pretty much what Kathleen said. I think if it’s done right any trope can become enjoyable or even awesome.

The poem sounds really cool. The pictures painted with the metaphors of the trees are cool.

Although while reading about the peppercorn trees it appears almost abstract. Like I can’t quite picture what your painting because I’m not sure what peppercorn trees are supposed to look like lol
