Well, I hope you find her love here, too, then. 🙂
That is wonderful advice, thank you!! I will definitely use something like what you mentioned, now that you bring it to my attention!
I think sometimes I struggle with finding a different view because I have been relatively unexposed to different views myself, so it…[Read more]

At first I thought,”Romance, over described battles, messed up characters…”
Then I remembered my book’s cultures.
The first books MCs’ father would be shown as a bloodthirsty military captian, their mother a brutal taskmaster. The fact that this kingdom has a female home-guard would immediately warp into some feminist program. In…[Read more]

Yay!!! Allegory is one of my favorite genres!
Ok, what are some of my favorites…
A series my sister is writing, which is totally AWESOME!! She doesn’t have a set title yet, but whenever it gets published it will definitely be my go to recommend!
Narnia. Every time I read them I find another something deeper. The other works of his…[Read more]

Well, I only have one moon, but it’s not exactly like ours, at least not for this far north Kingdom, and is a huge part of their culture. On the first full moon of the frozen months, she turns blood red (when she’s called Warrior), and the first full moon of warm weather she’s gold (Conqueror). These moons mark the two ‘seasons’ of…[Read more]

WIP HofE: make the parents super strict and awful; make the MC very rebellious; diversify the main and side characters and definitely have a romance/love triangle between some of the six main SCs, and a love triangle between the MC, her love, and one of the other six SCs; include more dragons and make then nastier; possibly mess up the villains;…[Read more]

@valtmy Change all the races of my characters for the sake of diversity (though idk why they would my MC is Asian), adding a love triangle (or three), change the ending (by making it happy isntead of vague and tragic and open), and adding a lot more daddy issues than I originally intended there to be.

That is sweet and good. I’m enjoying hearing about their story.
Oh, Paxton, Luna. I feel so sorry for you. Your author needs to give you both a big hug. (Pretends my charies have no trauma)

@koshka @emilysf @elishavet-pidyon HERE I AM! WOO LOL
November
“Run.” Zlatan’s voice was sharp and strong. Commanding. November’s eyes widened as the footsteps outside the door grew and a pounding thud sounded, like a knock.
He gripped Ara’s hand, squeezing it tighter then he probably should have, and rushed down the hall Viktor and Alyona had…[Read more]

She has red hair, blue eyes, and wears a suit similar to the one Elektra wears in her 2017 run of comics, except instead of a red cloth over her mouth, she wears it over her eyes, like Matt does in the first Netflix season of Daredevil.
Also, I forgot to mention that, somewhere in all her life happenings, she accidentally took a jaunt over to 616…[Read more]

(Prepare for a massive character intro…)
Milla Murdock is the daughter of Matthew Murdock, alias Daredevil. She has his red hair and blue eyes, and also inherited his Daredevil powers from him, except the range of her power is turned WAY up, and with her hearing alone, she can locate anything or anyone on earth. (If she concentrates, she can…[Read more]

ALL the secrets? o.o Now I’m a little more nervous and excited!
I’m not the biggest fan of all the main characters, but they are very good, and it’s really only Sophie I can say I have any real problems with.
I don’t know if worldbuilding is my strongest suit, tbh, but I LOVE it and honestly, I sometimes prefer it to the actual…[Read more]

This is the one about the mentor MC, yes.
I should probably explain a little further.
MC struggled with self-doubt. As a double gifted (and the only one ever), he believes that he has a responsibility to make big changes to the world. But, he doesn’t know how he is supposed to do that, especially since there is nothing really b…[Read more]

@koshka aww thank u!! And yes, what you said about the walking thru trials and stuff really does fit my charries, including these kids, even tho they’re young, after learning this Paxton becomes more Courageous and actually ends up standing up for Luna in some scenarios (even when she doesn’t realize it) and because of his past and character tha…[Read more]

That actually sounds really fun! And as for the age gap, that isn’t a problem. My Grandmother is older than my Grandfather, and there’s a nine year gap between my parents, but seriously, age gaps aren’t a real problem (obviously if God intended), some people simply need someone older/younger than them.
And I love the idea of an…[Read more]

SO, I have two side character (or three) that I need to develop a bit more.
(This is for the story I was asking about the death of a character, if anyone remembers that… the WIP acronymed FP,WS.)
So, the MC has two students he’s teaching.
The theme is about changing the world and how you change the world in a meaningful way.

EmilySF replied to the topic Have you ever written a sad ending to a story? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years, 3 months ago
I have written a short story/novelette with a tragic ending. At least, I’m pretty sure it qualifies as a tragic ending, but it is more of a poetic justice sad ending.
The story end with a pirate captain’s 4 year old daughter getting amnesia and disappearing, and him getting super depressed and drunk, but at the very end he decides to go looking…[Read more]

@unsung I realized I forgot to answer a question so:
And do you sometimes feel that you’re the glue that holds your family together?
I sometimes feel like I’m the one keeping lots of things in order, in my family. I have seen that when I don’t do the dishes or skim the milk, no one does, so it doesn’t get done, so things back up, and conside…[Read more]
