@DelightInLife @DaughterOfTheKing Thanks guys! ^-^
I’m currently hoping to get A Sprig of Green traditionally published (my currently aim is sending it to publishers sometime next year) but many edits will have to happen before that. 😛
(If you wanted to keep updated on that quarter, I have a monthly newsletter where I’ll be keeping people up to…[Read more] -

@DelightInLife I have actually! It’s now a 35k novella and I plan to rewrite it into a full length novel sometime in the future.

Hi guys,
I made another one. Btw, I don’t plan to keep posting these here, so if you want more of them, subscribe directly to the channel.
I’ll tag a few people I don’t think have seen these.

Hey-o, my fellow KeePers!
I’ve recently begun to consider attending writing conventions/conferences, but I have a teensy problem: I don’t currently have a way of finding out about these opportunities.
So.
As a first step, I’ve created this thread to be a place where we can all share news about any conventions/conferences or contests we hear…[Read more]

@DelightinLife welp, if that was at all helpful I’m glad. 😛 I feel like there’s got to be a way for you to accomplish what you want, I just don’t know if I have enough knowledge of your world to point you to it.
Glad I could at least listen, though. 😉As for emojis… I actually don’t know about that one. I can only do basic ones.

@DelightinLife wow… *scratches head* Uhh… well, this is properly enormous. 😛
A few possibilities of what could happen to make it exciting… what if he runs into someone he knew in his former life and has to face old sins or maybe just decisions that clash with how he’s living now? How major is this ENTP guy in the story? How important will…[Read more] -

MY PSYCHOLOGY SENSES ARE TINGLING. I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED.XD
Sorry. Couldn’t resist a dramatic entrance. 😉

I think someone has already said this, but the best way I can think of to start a plot is to create some conflict. Make something go wrong and figure out how the characters can fix the problem. Also, a great way to start is to brainstorm. Think about your characters, your story. It helps. 🙂 Anyway, that’s my brilliant advice. 😉 -

*runs in late and stands staring at the gobs of good advice*
I love you people.@DelightinLife personally, when I’m having plot issues it’s usually a problem with the protagonist. And when I come down to it, it’s usually because he hasn’t got any contradictions. He’s too predictable to do anything unexpected. Every character has something that…[Read more]

@DelightinLife I’m not going to look through allll those posts, so hopefully I’m not repeating anything you’ve already been told. XP
Usually when I have a protagonist with no plot, I a) let it stew for a bit if I have time or b) (if I want to do the story now) I take a look at the character and analyze what sort of conflict he’d need to make…[Read more]

@delightinlife, one of the best ways to start is by. . . reading! (What a surprise.) Sometimes it’s called research, but don’t let the name scare you. When you’re digging into sources for stuff you’re interested in, it becomes lots of fun. Medieval fantasy (fantasy in a world similar to the Middle Ages * of our own world) is a pretty common genre,…[Read more]

@delightinlife Well, some lords would have to deal with the problems in their fief. Thieves, disputes, war, and everyday business of running a fief in general, such as selling the stuff that his serfs make, and divvying out his soldiers to the king’s army, and a myriad of other things. Since you have your own story world, you can be really…[Read more]

Sounds to me like you need to worldbuild a bit. Build a government, build the landscape, build the people that operate within the government. Once you’ve done that, you can create characters that live inside that world, that government, and then you can create their ideals, their views, their beliefs…
I feel like @daeus or @aratrea would have…[Read more]

@delightinlife Oh yeah. I totally get you on this.
What I did to fire up my plot was to find a problem among the story world and among the characters. What about the story world could allow for conflict. This character feels this way but the other feels this way.
So first, I’d try to work a bit on your world if you are lacking plot, then you can…[Read more] -
