@dekreel I feel so sad that you’re feeling this way. I used to feel the same way. What I was gonna say is basically what dragon-snapper said. Our identity is in Christ, not our writing. If God gave you a passion to write, then write. If you’re not looking to get published, then write however you want. Just give it your all, and nobody can ask more…[Read more]

@dekreel Hello! just wanted to let you know that I’m still reading your children’s book you let us critique. I’ve been pretty busy lately, but I promise I’ll finish it as soon as I can 🙂

@aislinn-mollisong @dekreel @daeus @seekjustice @winter-rose @ethryndal @sam-kowal Hey Beta-readers! 😀
You all have helped me so much in the making of my novel. It’s come so soooo far in the last 6 months. Hopefully, with a couple more round of edits, I’ll be ready to send it off to agents, editors and publishing companies.
Because of that, I…[Read more]

@dragon-snapper No problem.
That just made me realize how awesome talking about it with other KeePers would be!
Have no fear, though. I will tell Stan to keep quiet as well -
Sure thing.

*salutes* Gotcha. Sector One is officially kept under my hat.
-
@dragon-snapper Sure! I hope I haven’t bumbled about it too much already… I was really excited about it X)
-
@dekreel Nope! 😀 Definitely not too much. 😛
@winter-rose @ethryndal @daeus @sam-kowal Thanks guys!-
@dekreel @winter-rose @ethryndal @daeus @sam-kowal
And back to this again. Sorry. *facepalm*
So I’ve decided that I will talk more about my book on the internet. Ya’ll can talk about it too, just no spoilers.(I was afraid to do so before because I read an article, and although it was convincing @reaganramm and Hailey’s video was…[Read more]

@dekreel Amen, sister.
I wonder when I’ll stop doing that. Because I’m always doing it. Sometimes, I make myself higher than others, and sometimes I have to bury my head in a pillow.
*instead of petting you, offers you a non-melted chair*
Just remember, that God made you unique, special and loved. Writing does not become your identity. It’s…[Read more]

@aislinn-mollisong
Wow… that is a hard life. 😛 One of my characters used to be like that… no wait, there still are some.(Of course! Once I edit those, but I’ll probably want people who’ve already read the first book. @dekreel You too)

Hi, @dekreel
We can definitely relate!
Haley and I shot a video that hopefully should provide some encouragement, and help you finally kick that comparitis and self-doubt to the curb!
How to stop doubting your ability to write, and finally stop comparing yourself to other writers.

@dekreel That one’s cool 🙂 I like the way the colors are used.
@seekjustice I really like that Lord of the Rings cover., I don’t think I’d seen that one before. I’m definitely one for simplistic covers too 😀

Since this story is abandoned, I won’t need a very specific and detailed edit or review. Just some general comments to improve my writing is all I’m looking for. 🙂
Yeah, I was going for a quick pace and…[Read more]

@dekreel That’s usually what he does. His timing is always perfect. You’ll see when you eventually play through the episodes of Aetherlight. 😉
Well, I always recommend *COUGH* my own *COUGH* role-play, the Arbitrary Antics of Ariella Newheart *COUGH COUGHHH* xD

@dekreel Yup, the Scarlet Man roams about Aethasia, helping to further the cause of the Resistance. He is always popping up or leaving at unexpected times. He also leaves scarlet nails everywhere to mark important things. 😉 Very mysterious. He also likes tea….
I hope you can join soon, too! ^-^

@dekreel It’s actually my AAA role-play. I’ve just gotten to a part where a search and rescue party is about to be launched, I just need to transition into that. What are you working on?

Ariella Newheart replied to the topic Writer's Corner #13 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 6 months ago
@dekreel We posted at pretty much the exact same time. xD RANDOM: I’m listening to the song Heart of Stone by Britt Nicole now while I write.

Hiya, @dekreel!
(I don’t come onto this topic much since my writing computer is in another room. I suppose I’ll work on my Aetherlight role-play right now, then. :P)

@dekreel If it’s the ship that travels around the world selling books, I have! It’s actually stopped in Taiwan and I’ve been aboard it.
Signing off now — class period is pretty short. I’ll find your reply about Logos Hope later, though. Good luck with the KPA!

@dekreel Cool! Hope you make progress 🙂
I’ve written haikus before, but I hate the syllable limit. My description likes to be free and flowy, and capturing the essence of something in that few words is tough for me.
Do you ever look back on forums as a sort of “research” for the KPA, or do you think you know the Kapeefers you’re writing about…[Read more]

@dekreel Hey there! I’m in class right now, writing haikus for my advanced writing class. They’re supposed to be about my school, so I’ll have to go for something friendship-wise. What are you writing?

To be totally honest, I almost started crying as I read through this thread. I’ve had a really tough weekend emotionally, doubting everything I’ve been working on with my writing + my future. My mom was talking to another parent about how I “know what I want to do” and up until this past Friday, I thought I did but I somehow ended up going on a…[Read more]

I’m so sorry that you have to go through this! it’s happened to me before, and it’s horrible. I have to say though, I tend to have the opposite problem…I compare everyone else’s writing/whatever it is to my own and I get really arrogant. So…we all have our flaws.
But seriously, God made you to love writing! he maybe didn’t make you…[Read more]
