Elfwing replied to the topic Need Some Advice With An Injury Scene! in the forum General Writing Discussions 2 years, 2 months ago
Glad you found what you needed! I have to say I’m quite intrigued by the snatches you explained about the story and the scenarios! Your book sounds really cool 🙂
I’m afraid I am not much help with writing stuff most of the time, it’s like, amazing ideas or nothing, (to be honest usually nothing) but I like to try anyways,…[Read more]

@godlyfantasy12 so am i wrong in assuming it would be similar to a hypertrophic scar? which looks raw and fresh but is actually healed, or is it a literal open wound?
if it was an open wound that might constantly be sticky and getting dirty because of whatever factors of the story, that could, cause infection which would also contribute to it not…[Read more]

Issabelle Perry replied to the topic Pacing Problems – Help? in the forum General Writing Discussions 2 years, 2 months ago
So I might not be getting the problem *exactly* correct, but if you’re having a hard time with the pacing of your story, I’m gonna recommend to try plotting it out. Plotting doesn’t have to be all that complicated at all! Basically, there are certain major points that need to happen in every story besides just beginning, middle, and…[Read more]

I’ve been working on my novels for over 3 years and edging closer to a satisfactory disasterpiece that people so far have…[Read more]

Thank you so much for your advice!
So far I’m sticking with one POV (third person limited).
No worries! That makes perfect sense!! I find it challenging to combine already written characters but I guess I’ll just have to brainstorm some more and then do some crunching of characters:)God bless!

Thank you for helping me out! I appreciate your input, it was very helpful! I think most my characters do serve a purpose but it may be a matter of combining them.
God bless!

Hey! I hope everyone is having a great summer!
I have a quick question: Can you have too many character in a novel?
So I decided to do a Carrie count because in the last year there have been a lot of uninvited but intriguing character barging in on my WIP.
I have 34 named characters!! Is that too many. Not all of them are in the same chapters…[Read more] -

Hi Joy!
I’m struggling with that too. The one thing that helped me was using the Save The Cat beat sheet. Then evaluating each scene and asking myself is it necessary or not. I also condensed a couple scenes to move it along faster.
I attached an outline I would fill out for each scene to see whether the scene was w…[Read more]
