@xonos-darkgrate @daeus Maybe it’s that, the power is used by everyone, but depending on who you use it through and for if it’s light or dark or grey. It could be like praying, if you pray to God (the only one you’re supposed to pray to), or to idols or other things.

Okay, so first. I’ve considered the storyline I’ve been making, and the concept of making an allegory, so I thought I’d just drop the act and admit that it’s more of an allegory than anything else.
So… I’ve made a few changes to explain things better and to fit the Bible more!
1. “magic” in this story is really God’s power. But when others…[Read more]

@xonos-darkgrate what @Daeus said, basically.
Otherwise I think it looks very solid. You seem to already have a lot of thematic material (foils and such) to work with, so you’re starting out with a wide perspective and plenty of stuff to juggle around. Also you seem to know what to do with that stuff, which is always a plus. XD
As for names……[Read more]

Thanks everyone!
I worked on this when I wasn’t sleepy. ( 😛 )You Were Called By The King
Alex is not normal. She and her friends talk to animals.
But in the course of a few days the normal of their abnormal lives is shaken. They all receive a mysterious riddle from a cloaked messenger of a long dead tyrant king.One Crown, Three Parts

@xonos-darkgrate I’m going to have to think on this a bit more. But for starters…
The few chosen to actually be able to manipulate the otherwise forbidden source of the universe
Why is it forbidden? By who? Why can they wield it?
@daeus had some good advice.
Also this could be an allegory. If you wanted.Those names could work. The Mymar…[Read more]

Hey guys! I just recently had an idea for a fantasy book. So, I have been reading up on fantasy clichés and other things about how to write a fresh and new story for an otherwise overused story.
I haven’t started writing yet, as I don’t want to rush in and make so many story mistakes that I have to start over later. So I’m using this time to…[Read more]

@perfectfifths It was a coincidence.
@seekjustice @jess-penrose @daeus @emily Thanks all! Here’s two new versions…I wasn’t sure which way to go, so I’m trying both. (They are improving. Slowly.)
I’ll keep playing around with it, in the word pit. 😉
Which do you like better and what are your thoughts?You Were Called By The King

I’m gonna tag @daeus because he’ll probably be able to tell you more than I can.
In my opinion, this is a bit too long, and it reveals a bit too much about the story. I can’t tell you how or where to cut, but that’s just my thought. You want to keep a bit of the story to reveal later, right?

Ok, thanks @daeus. I did want to do it myself, because *I don’t want to spend money if I don’t need to* but I’m not sure how to go about it. @kate-flournoy? Little help?

Catwing replied to the topic Cover Art help? in the forum Publishing & Platform 8 years, 6 months ago
I have nothing. @aislinn-mollisong I probably should find it out myself. But these people have published… @daeus @hope Perhaps they can help you? {Okay I do have tags. 😉 )

@aislinn-mollisong Harold and Arianwen are two of the characters in my WIP… and yes, you can read it, when it’s ready. 😉 Tell you guys what— I’ll just start a topic here when it is and tag those of you I can remember, and the rest of you can jump on and remind me, ‘kay?

@That_Writer_Girl_99 *whinily* Uncle Owen, this one’s got a bad MOtivator!
*ahem*
But we must cut him some slack. Considering one of his students went straight up crazy and started massacring people, it doesn’t surprise me that his mental capacities *cough* (manners) *choke* have finally fled.

I’m here @ethryndal
Okay, can we just talk about Luke for a second? I’m very disappointed in him. It looks like he straight up kicks out Rey? Rude, Luke, rude.
I want one of those fuzzy things too. Desperately. Even if @daeus doesn’t approve.

*gasp* Look who it is! That weird elf person who’s been slinking around in the shadows these last few months, making appearances so rarely that authorities have come to consider her an endangered species!
Yup, it’s that strange Sarah creature. I never wanted to be one of those people who randomly disappear one day and you never see hide nor hair…[Read more]

@Emily I’m unnecessarily hard on myself and use photoshop. 😛
@Shannon thank you! You hadn’t mentioned that, but… I can put you on the list, if you like. 🙂 And no, I love that movie. One of the most quotable movies of all time. 😛
@Mariposa mmm… more like a lonely villain. 😉 Thank you though. 😀@Daeus it’s… um… for the eleventh book.

Okay guys I made another one. You people are positively a bad influence.

Yes, it’s another antagonist. I won’t say villain because he isn’t quite, but he comes pretty close. His name is Nisien and he’s basically immortal.
@Dragon-Snapper @Emily @Shannon @Ingridrd @GracieGirl
@Daeus, this is Harold and Arianwen’s son. *hides under the table*

So, I’m writing a trilogy right now. A sci-fi trilogy, and I’ve finished the first book. I’m 30% through the second book. But I have problem.
I have no plot for the third book. I know who my villain is. I know who my heroes are, but I have no exciting way to make them clash. Does anyone know how I’m might make an election in a country that has…[Read more] -

I’ve missed you, but I’ve always assumed you had good reason to be away from the forum. Praying for you, love. 😉
Hope these struggles strengthen you. Praying for you. Really hope you can stick around!
Aww I’m glad you dropped back because I was wondering at your silence. <3 Keep on trusting God. *hugs*
Glad to have you back! I tend to withdraw when I’m going through difficult times too; I think my introvertedness blows full steam whenever I’m hurting. I hope God will turn your trials into joy. 🙂 Trials aren’t fun, but I’ve found I usually grow more from them than from the good times. *pats you on the shoulder*
YAAAYYY! Don’t become an endangered species. *sorrowful blink*
STUFF is a convoluted pain. Hopefully it’ll allow you more opportunities to be on here, but see, even if you don’t feel like it, people miss you a lot! Absence makes the heart grow fonder and all that. 😀 But we need our Green Lady. <3
*crickets*
Did you see the Loki article? 😀
HI-YA!!! Yes, please don’t become an endangered species. XD Life in the Kingdom would become oh so dull and sarcasm-less without you. 😛
And I relate big-time. I’ve been ignoring the Kingdom these past couple weeks too, so you are not alone. Look, I even replied to this, like, super late. 😛
But anywho…WELCOME BACK!!
