@Jenwriter17 I like Han, but if 70 year old Harrison Ford played young Han I would be happier. XD
Okay so maybe this new actor dude won’t be too bad? I don’t know. I’m just reserving judgement until I see the actual movie.
As for Rey and Kylo…no offense to anyone, but I absolutely don’t like them together. 😉

Jane Maree replied to the topic No, I'm not a movie writer, *points* she is…… in the forum Film 7 years, 1 month ago
@Jenwriter17 as Elizabeth said, the plot points of writing a movie script is the same as a fiction novel. And as Rochellaine said there’s a lot of different people who take part in the storytelling.
My #1 tip: imagine every single word you write as happening in a movie. If you can see it perfectly in the movie style, then write down the small…[Read more]

Hey. Look. I’m not going to say you’re an amazing writer, but I am going to say that if you like writing and if it’s something you enjoy then it’s a gift. It’s a gift from God.
He’s blessed you with that gift and you don’t have to be a higher standard, a better writer, as good as ‘so-and-so’, because He’s given you the gift in exactly…[Read more]

@Dragon-snapper I’ve recently started up a facebook page too, and I’m just learning the ropes. I normally share all my blog posts on there, and some updates on my WIPs (though I should do that more). I’m thinking of doing a ‘Saturday Snippets’ sort of thing where I share a piece of writing every Saturday, etc.
Other than that, I also second…[Read more]

@dekreel lol, I always find it hilarious what you interpret Perfect Fifths as. And that you make me a bird. XD But did you know it’s actually a musical term?

@dragon-snapper Whoa! :O
I just revealed my real name on YDubs (No, I’m not going to on here too – it’s too open on the internet) and yes, it is weird, but also nice to be called who I actually am.

@That_Writer_Girl_99 I’m so so happy that you checked out the ‘too good to be true’ forum. This place wouldn’t be the same without epic people like you to spread some happiness and friendly words of encouragement and advice.
Seriously, girl. You’re amazing. <3

@dragon-snapper, uuuuuummmmmmmm.
yeah.
I’m not going to be much help with this, cause I do the same thing.
One of the things I’ve found helpful is, like @daeus said, insert hope. Your characters should be driven by their goals.
Unless your MC is like mine, who is just plain hurting and miserable, and kind of takes it out on everyone else.…[Read more]

@rochellaine Oh, yeah. 😛
I didn’t think so, which is why I stopped at four verses. But now I want to try – it just may take longer.
Hole, thread, cut, sharpen, stone, water, well… Oh, I know, it gets too late to go to the well, so you have to sleep. With what shall I sleep with? With a blanket! There’s a hole in my blanket! XD

@rochellaine One thing about sewing… the thread can never be too long (okay, maybe it can, but better too long than too short). But yes, it is a pun, and I didn’t realise it until you said so. XD I was just making my own version of the song “There’s a Hole in My Bucket.”

@christianna-hellwig, You have a beautiful range! And yeah, sopranos… we might be a little biased, but it’s so much fun! 😉
I recently did the Rogers and Hammerstein musical ‘Cinderella’, and really loved it. About 200 people auditioned and the cast had 80 in the end which is pretty big for a musical! I auditioned for the role of Cinderella,…[Read more]

Opera! I don’t sing much classic opera, (German, Italian, etc.), but I love singing things like ‘The Phantom of the Opera’.
And I’m a soprano (G3 to E6). You?
Um, yeah. Hilarious, or cringy, one of those. 😀
Yes! I’m currently writing a novel about an Australian nurse in WWII, serving in PNG. It’s alternative historical fiction.
