To read: Plot twist!!! Though I also love a good dialogue or description. And suspense in a story will definitely keep me reading, especially if I’m trying to figure things out along with the main character rather than knowing what’s going on and simply pleading with the main character to FIGURE IT OUT ALREADY. XD
To write: I enjoy writing descriptions very much, but I fear I tend to overdo it (this is why I love writing poetry XD). I think, when it comes to good, productive writing, I tend to lean toward dialogue.

Aww, thanks so much @kate-flournoy. You’re awesome too! 😀 <3
…and now I’m in the same boat as @daeus. Can’t I just tag everyone? 😛
Well, since I can’t, let’s see… maybe I’ll try for some folks who haven’t been on in awhile, just to let them know we’re still thinking about them and missing them.
I tag…
@joy-schmidt for being a fun friend who livens up any gathering
@bluejay for being an amazing and generous person
@writefury (because I can’t tag Dallas) (jk XD) Because she’s a really awesome writer
@sarah-h because she’s kind and always makes me smileand…
@the-real-kapeefer for just being awesome and adding a whole new dimension to all the videos. Thank you, kind sir, for many hours of laughter! 😀"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@supermonkey42 The Compendium is amazing! It gave me an excellent excuse to finally read the Legend of King Daeus (which is AWESOME @dragon-snapper).
@dekreel I feel extremely honored that you like the poem well enough to went it included there! Thanks so much, you literally just made my day! 😀"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@jane-maree @cindygreen Thanks so much!

@daughteroftheking Aren’t all writers secretly time travelers? 😉
@christi-eaton Thanks! (Also, side-note, I’m finally “officially” joining you in the theater department- I’m playing Mother Gothel in a brief comedy sketch with some friends for a 4-H competition 😀 )
@aratrea *grins* I’m glad you liked it! And change definitely gives a new appreciation for that Ecclesiastes passage."Courage is action in spite of fear."
@daughteroftheking Thanks!
Also, maybe I should clarify that he’s not leaving leaving… mainly he’s stepping down from editor-in-chief; he’ll still be on the forum sometimes. There’s a post about it on the main KP website. 😉

@dekreel thanks for tagging me! Sorry I didn’t respond sooner- for some reason I’m not getting notifications anymore. Technology’s great except when it’s not, right? 😛
And that is totally awesome. XD"Courage is action in spite of fear."
*when you should be studying for your Philosophy exam but would rather laugh at other Keepers’ insane awesomeness*
Yep. You guys are the greatest. XD"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@dragon-snapper I am neck-deep in school assignments right now and wading through a pile of books I desperately want to read, so at the present moment I’m afraid I’ll have to decline. I’m glad you have enough though! Sorry I didn’t reply sooner- for some reason email kicked it into spam, even though I thought I fixed that. *scowls at technology in general* Thanks for tagging me though! I’ve missed the forum… a lot. Maybe I’ll be on regularly over the summer. 😛

I love this! And we should totally have a KP conference. I wouldn’t miss it for the world!!! 😀 Though I may have to miss it for college… 😛 But winter break= happiness. 😀 I miss all ya’ll and hope to see you a little more often again soon. Merry Christmas!!!

@dragon-snapper I LOVE THEM AND I WANT TO READ THIS BOOK.
*turns eyes into pleading depths of earthy brown* Please… sometime… whenever it fits thy great dragon schedule… *changes to large pleading Smeagol eyes* We’s wants to read the precioussss…"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@daughteroftheking Oh, c’mon, it can’t be that bad… XD I was just looking through a fantasy novel I wrote when I was 8, and one line was, “We don’t want to go there looking like we been fighting with a baby squirrel!” XD
@catwing The Kingdom thanks thee for protecting us from thy devious villain. *bows* *bestows some sort of fitting honor upon you*
@dragon-snapper YES. So glad I’m not the only who does that. (also, in real life too… which can be really weird, because then you want to stare at them and study them, but you have enough self-consciousness left to realize that’s rude, so you’re unsure what to do… 😛 )
You know you’re a writer if you type “wiki” into your search engine, and the first options it lists are the wikipedia pages for “Bothrops Atrox” “Cholera” and “Emperor Scorpion.”
My poor characters. XD"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@livylynn Welcome! Not sure if she’s already been here or if someone else has already said something, but I know we have at least one other twenty something person hanging around… *sidelong glance at @hope* 😉
Once again, welcome aboard! We look forward to having you around! 😀"Courage is action in spite of fear."
@clairec Ugh, humidity is definitely the worst. 🙁 Winter doesn’t sound too bad though; maybe I’ll have to come visit sometime. 😉

Oh goodness, names… what makes them too much… let’s see.
I’d say that most everything has already been said- I especially agree with Josiah about making sure the names sound like they’re from a similar culture for everyone within the same culture of your story. But then, maybe you have someone with a name from a different culture, and maybe it is or isn’t different enough that everyone can tell just from hearing it it’s a foreign name. Just a thought *shrugs* Also, I think it’s okay to have semi-long names if they’re easy to pronounce- if you really want someone to have a long name that you think might be a bit much, just make it their “formal” name and give them a nickname as well. Things like that.
I’d also like to say that fantasy names don’t have to be so different at all; like you said, the most famous aren’t extremely unique or unusual. I actually have a fantasy I’m (kind of) working on that’s based off of old English culture, with possibly a splash of Jewish, so most of the names are pretty normal, with one or two slightly unique- Emma, Deric, Sir Algernon Ashenburl, Cole, Lord Valron, Aziel… 😀"Courage is action in spite of fear."
