For 1 and 3, I would probably have the subtitle “a time travel novel”.

For a first time author, generally 60-90k is the way to go but some genres like fantasy/sci-fi are more like 90k-110k because of all the additional worldbuilding. @Clairec urgh, that’s hard. I often struggle getting through those first couple of chapters. I just want the perfect opening, for everything to be perfect when really I just need to write it!
