Righto. The things I was reading seemed to indicate it meant more generally a horse that hadn’t reached mature age. Here it very specifically means a horse between 1-4. Younger than 1 is a foal, and a female is a filly. I’ve never really seen any Americans use those terms though, which was why I was a little confused.

@catwing Okay, my sentences were all pretty short in the last section I wrote, so I’m going to give two that go together:

I didn’t know if we were doing our favorite sentence or the last sentence we wrote, so i’m just putting here the last sentence I wrote: Vega twisted one of her box braids around her finger.

I’m sort of stuck on the details of capturing brumbies though. Exactly how one does it with a horse and no helicopter.

By the way, Jen. Since you are an American horsie person, what does the word colt mean? You seem to use it in a different way to we do.

I have a secret… for some reason Scrivener counts more things as words than Word, I’m pretty sure.

My timer has gone off, though I’m not sure about Catwing’s. I got 596 for all who wanted to know.

I was also just laughing because “Prince William gave hope to thousands of bald Englishmen by losing his hair”.
