Whew! Now that I’m back home from working a summer camp I can ask a few questions!
To reiterate @christi-eaton‘s question, how’d you find our little community? (I’m glad you did)
Do you plan any instrument? If so, how long have you played?
Which genre do you like writing in?
(Also, fair warning–I know my name says “Elizabeth” but to tag…[Read more]

Wow, a rare @christi-eaton sighting on the forum!
I haven’t listened to any musicals…but all of my friends are obsessed with Hamilton.

Welcome to the site @radicalglitter! What’s In the Heights like? I’m a huge Hamilton fan, but haven’t listened to anything else Miranda has done.
Also tagging @christi-eaton for the musicals mention. 😉

The Dark Overlord emerges from a dark passage that spills dark wisps of dark…er…ness. Yeah, Darkness. Anyway, it is super cool and it totally sets the mood. The mood of Whoa, this is probably REALLY important. The Dark Overlord opens his word-hoard and the following reaches your ears.

@bethanysinkyroses, I’m going to tag @aratrea (Josiah) because he just actually took KP to a homeschool conference.
I would definitely like to see KP at more homeschooling conferences because it is a place where we are most likely to be able to interact with our target audience (Young Christian Authors, or their parents in this case). I know at…[Read more]

@christi-eaton Awesome! The high school class at our homeschool co-op did Les Mis last year ago (they did Much Ado about Nothing this year which was a lot of fun to watch!) with the same drama teacher that I have. All the drama classes at the co-op are taught by her. 🙂 One of the other drama classes did Beauty and the Beast last year and that…[Read more]

Hello!
I saw that you mentioned something about doing Beauty and the Beast? Are you in drama? *excited squeal* I have been doing drama the last four years through our homeschool co-op and love it! What shows have you done (and who have you played?) 🙂-
Howdy!
YES! I love drama! I was recently in a completely original stage version of Beauty and the Beast, and I played a very flirtatious seamstress named Madame Claudet. That was a ton of fun. I’ve also played Cosette in Les Miserables (sorry not the musical) and I had a role in Oscar Wilde’s Lady Windermere’s fan. I played Lady Plymdale in that…[Read more]-

Hmmm…favorite role….probably Madame Claudet in Beauty and the Beast. I had a blast with that outrageous character. Though I loved my costumes with Cosette. I had the most beautiful wedding dress. Ohh I love the idea of doing Esther. We are studying that at church right now. Sounds like you are having a great time in theatre!…[Read more]

Hey people. *tips hat grinningly*
There’s this book I just read called Eats, Shoots and Leaves, by Lynn Truss. It’s non-fiction—about punctuation. But it’s not a long or dull read at all, and is funny and very informative/helpful. Especially for people like writers who’d use punctuation more than usual. 😉
The only objection would be: it has a…[Read more] -

Hello everybody tagged below!
I’ve got a bunch of unfinished drafts of stories (plus the finished draft for the Pilot for Aquila) and I was wondering if any of you would like to alpha-read some of them (and, perhaps, beta-read the finished draft). I need input on what I’m working on because I’ve got some stories I’m stuck on.
So, for those of…[Read more]

So, I read some of the poems y’all suggested. (I loved the Wreck of the Hesperus). And I tried one of my own. It’s a bit silly, and I don’t like the ‘magic’ and ‘tragic’ rhyme at all, but for lack of a better one, I left it. Maybe someone can help me change it? But how do you all like it?

Hey there.
So.
My brother is an animator. A movie maker. And this summer he is venturing out on another project, and he has made me his co-collaborator or something like that. So he asked me to ask y’all about it and if you like it and stuff.
So… here’s the basic plot. I’m still a bit fuzzy on it and it may not be one hundred percent accurate,…[Read more] -
