@Kina-Lamb that’s awesome. Certainly not a run-of-the-mill children’s book, which is even more awesome. I hope everything goes well. 😀

@Emma-Flournoy Aaaaah! I’m speechless. You have this profound effect on me: Everything you say makes me grin. How can one person be so NICE?
*gives you chocolate with raspberry pieces in it*
Seriously though, you’ve pretty much nailed it. (Besides things like Admirable. I don’t think I’m allowed to have an opinion on those. 🙂 ) All the…[Read more]

Oh yum, chocolate. *eats it* OH yum, more chocolate! *goes on caffeine high*
You have the EXACT same effect on me! And I keep thinking, how can one person be so NICE?!
And, I have an opinion on the Admirable and so forth, and I say they’re true. So, you need not feel bashful. XDLike you were feeling bashful.
I finished reading your email a…[Read more]

WELL I LOVE YOU TOO!
*poof* Yes, I remember that. And I know the feeling. The feeling of…bursting. *knowing nod* Quite. But yes, feel free to respond at your leisure. I was almost thinking of sending it in installments because it was so long, but then I thought, eh, well. We understand one another. So it’s all good. *poof again*
Oh boy,…[Read more]

Yup, we understand each other. This is good.
I don’t care that the emails are long (far from it, give me GIVE ME!)—just that that makes it so I have to take longer to reply, and thus longer till I can hear from you again. 😀Young and evil Gandalf, I KNOW! *cackles with you* That’s a great movie. Different from the books in ways, but still…[Read more]

DRAGON SNAPPER DARED ME. That’s all I’ll say. 😛
Eh, yeah, that’s pretty true. THERE’S JUST SO MUCH TO SAY. Arg. How do I handle it? You can always answer in installments, if you like.
Well good for Caroline. *approving nod* It’s been a while since I saw it last (Anna absolutely hates it; don’t ask me why), but I do remember liking it. The book…[Read more]

@Ethryndal I read through that topic after I’d answered you here. Now I understand. 😀
Nah, it’s more orderly and less confusing to have it all in one place. I’ll just stick with long.
It is different…but not hateable, I thought. Sheesh Anna. But you should see it again sometime. When there is such a time. And whenever you finish reading TSP,…[Read more]

*meekly adds more books to reading list* Yeah, mom really likes books and movie too, so they’re definitely at the top. See Anna? *poke* Sheesh.

Actually Till We Have Faces probably wouldn’t be considered Christian fiction, as it’s not specifically having to do with real Christianity. The theme is, but not by name.

Emma Flournoy replied to the topic Hello All! in the forum Start HERE 9 years, 5 months ago
@That_Writer_Girl_99 Hmmm…I don’t know how much of what I’ve read is technically considered ‘Christian fiction’. The Screwtape Letters and Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis—those might be considered Christian fiction. They are Christian and they are fiction at any rate. Several books by Douglas Bond, and the Viking Quest Series by Lois Walfrid…[Read more]

@warrioroftherealm Sorry to hear you’re dealing with Writer’s Block, because I just came out of a dry spell myself. It definitely isn’t the best feeling in the world. -_-
I feel like there really is no ‘best way’ to deal with the dreaded Writer’s Block, since I’ve found it seems different for every writer. Some ways work better, while others…[Read more]

@Mark-Kamibaya I agree, excellent article. I couldn’t really tell you whether I found aspects right or wrong, because I don’t know a whole lot about the antihero. Didn’t, at least. 😉 But it was a very interesting read, and well written. I haven’t seen any of the characters you mentioned for reference except Luke Skywalker—and that was for…[Read more]
