@dekreel sure! This sounds like fun.:) I think I would like to be a wolf whisperer, so, human, but I live among the animals. I think I’m kind of a mysterious characters.

I always love my writing projects, but feel pretty shy about sharing them, because, as I’m sure you can understand, I feel pretty sure they’re probably not really all that great. So… your comments were more than a little encouraging! No worries about the long post. I really appreciate a view from the outside.
Thank you for the tips. I’ll look back over it and do some more editing. I was planning on filming the flashbacks in sepia or monochrome…
The title was intended to be about the dash between the dates on a tombstone. But actually, because of an idea my dad had, we decided to change the name, and write “The Dash” later. We just haven’t come up with any satisfactory titles yet, so if you happen to have any ideas for that, I’d appreciate hearing them!

@BethanySinkyRoses Definitely agree with everyone else. Another thing I thought of is that in trying to teach or encourage your audience in any way, you need them to be able to identify with your characters, & they can’t do that if your characters are perfect. Make sense?
Also, I really like @kate-flournoy’s point. Showing the real life struggle between choosing to honor God or choosing to honor self, regardless of circumstances or other people makes the story real & impacting, whether you’re focusing on the parent or the child. 🙂
