        The part where it’s like “one shall stand and one shall fall” sort of thing so I was like “Ok, one of them can’t make it” so I was glad you kept to that because the “oh look we’re so cool we defeated the prophesy” device (Percy Jackson, anyone?) is just silly

          I am glad I have raised questions, questions which I hope to answer in my coming decades of authorship, and to a small degree here. We’ll see where I can fit my wide variety of story characters in the coming prompts

          Congrats Ellette! I really liked your story, it made me think of Welsh legends. I really liked how the Fey weren’t cute and sparkly (thanks a lot Tinker Bell 😡) but powerful and mysterious. The ending was beautiful, and I was glad you didn’t forsake the prophesy part to make the ending different. A powerful legend.

          I don’t like Roger Williams (founder of Rhode Island and my distant ancestor) because he was too soft on theology. He also got kicked out by the Puritans and that’s never a good sign. And for all his pomp about religious freedom in Rhode Island, the church density there is lower than in North Carolina, where I live. So yeah.

            I actually don’t know what clan I’m from; my Scots-Irish side only immigrated about a hundred years ago I think. Or less. I’m really mostly Welsh, and my great-grandfather was a coal-miner “down the pits.” My grandfather’s second cousin is a druid, and my grandfather is a retired Reformed Presbyterian minister.

            Also one of my random ancestors founded Rhode Island. Not too proud of that one.

                @koshka Newo is based on my little brother’s silly side, and my little brother had brycitis in his knee (an infection), and had to have it drained, so that’s how I got the idea… and then… it just sort of came to life under my pen so I kept it
