Everywhere I’ve seen this challenge, black and white don’t count as part of your three colors. I assume the reason is that black, white and grey are neutral colors and this challenge is meant to help understand color theory and how colors interact with each other.

When you use markers and ink do you ink first or after you put the marker down?

Oh yeah, and good job Ruth!! (I still call you Rae in my head, lol.) I like the faint fish underwater, and your dedication to the traditional markers. I can’t use markers for the life of me.

*Immediately starts drawing* I thought this was going to weigh on me somehow but I’m actually motivated. XD

Oh yeah, I’m using an extra amount of black too. For hatching. Same question as above. ^

it is so not a perfect square

So I got bored this morning and just decided to do my artwork for the challenge now. I might do another one later

I use a white pencil to try and do the ripples, and I outlined everything in black. Otherwise, everything was made up from the three colors I have to the side there. It came out better than I expected, and I’m pretty happy with it 🙂

My little brother is turning 13 on Saturday, and I’m making his birthday card. I was going through some pics I have saved, and he thought this was funny (he doesn’t know I’m doing his card) so I’m thinking on drawing this with the caption “Still not convinced that you’re 13” Does that seem like a good idea or should I scrap it?
