Hi, @koshka!
Ugh, I know how that is having so many story ideas and not being able to complete any of them. I’ve had that problem for many years, and just recently I decided to sit down and FINISH a book. I just had to keep myself determined.
Yeah, my poems are pretty direct, and I think they’re more of rhymes than poems because they don’t use…[Read more]

@anatra23
I actually don’t use online courses. Basically, I just pick out a song I want to learn and print out sheet music for it (or learn it by ear, depending on if I want a specific arrangement or not.) I do have a few books that I use too. -

Yes, that’s great! 🙂

This is so pretty. I love the emotion!
@abigail-m mentioned this, but quick question,
Is the poem saying:Here voices scream: “you’re still in pain,
This Dream and Hope are all in vain,“
Or would that be the singer saying that Dreams and Hopes are in vain?
(ty Elishavet, I’m sure the author appreciates it ^-^)

I agree I enjoy his books more, but some of his songs really hit home.
That’s cool that you can teach yourself. Do you use books, or online courses?

@not-so-secret-secret-assassin
That post you wrote is awesome! And is actually very helpful, (probably more so than several articles out there), so even though it was written for the awesome writer Elanor, I just wanted to say that it was very good and actually inspired me to write an escape scene for my current novel!

This scene is stacking up to be very interesting the more I hear about it! My favorite part of this (I know, I’m a cruel writer to characters) is that Kedja knows she can’t escape and that only Zlya will be able to make it out of the prison. This is great story-wise because most escape scenes get pretty much everyone out without a ton of…[Read more]

Hi, Koshka! I love this poem 😀 I visualized it being sung by a captive like you said it would be and think that that works wonderfully:) It felt wintery and mysterious and sad and hopeful. I especially loved the last stanza and how each line in it was its own yet completely tied together. So I think that’s beautiful.
Hmmm, the only t…[Read more] -

Oh, interesting. What strikes you about Iron Man that you like?
Dear Younger Me is really so beautiful. I’ve never seen I Can Only Imagine, I’ve heard of it, but I don’t know the plot. Is it about MercyMe? My favorite of theirs has got to be Grace Got You.
Cool! I learned to play Water Fountain on piano a little while back. You’re…[Read more]

I love this poem! I think it’s beautiful and emotional, perfect for a captive to sing.

Good point, pen and paper is way more transportable.
Yes, I am the oldest of my siblings. My youngest brother is the only one that shares a lot of the same interests as me. The middle two siblings hate writing. My sister likes to read a little bit, but overall I connect best with my little brother. I forgot to ask: do you have…[Read more]

@devastate-lasting
Well, I still handwrite my stories too at first, then for every chapter I finish by hand I type it onto the computer. I know that’s a lot of extra work, but I just like the feel of the pen in my hand.I have three siblings; one sister and two brothers. Yes, my brother and I are a great team. 🙂

Hi, @trahia-the-minstrel!
I’m so glad you liked my blog. It took me a long time to put that post together, and I have to update it every so often because I read so many books. Yes, Viking Quest is so good! I had to read it because I had like a bazillion friends who recommended it.
Wow, that’s great that you’ve been homeschooled your whole life.…[Read more]

I just hope Marvel doesn’t start producing junk for money. NWH is gonna be a make it or break it movie for a lot of people.
Ugh, favorite Avenger… so many hard good decisions I really love Hawkeye’s character, especially after Endgame and seeing his growth in the show, but also Steve Rogers–Captain America–and I grew up (yes, I’m…[Read more]

I do like to design fashion, although it’s a more recent interest of mine so I don’t know a lot about it yet. Basically, all I do is search variations of “modern fashion design” on Google, then use some of the ideas to create my own.
Yeah, old fashion is kind of a good thing to research for world-building. I do that sometimes…[Read more]

@annabelle Sure thing! And that’s so cool about all the fashion stuff. Your story sounds really interesting!
I totally get that about Psalms. It is poetic and emotional, I really like it for that reason.
It’s so nice to meet you! Hope to see you around the forums 🙂

Okay, thanks, @elishavet-pidyon. I’m thinking of writing a story about more creatures like Artham, so I was wondering if there was already a name for that kind of species or if I’ll have to make one up myself.

@devastate-lasting
Well, I’m homeschooled, so all of us do some sort of writing activities for school. But other than that, not really. My little brother is just the most similar to me. He loves reading and writing. He handwrote his book, but I had to have him read it to me right away after he wrote it because I knew it would be pretty hard to…[Read more] -
