@that_writer_girl_99 I know. It would be cool if everything was in reach, and if I could remember to bring the proper notebooks with me wherever I move my laptop. I think I’m all ready to write, then I realize I have my science notebook, not the one with all my writing notes in it.

@that_writer_girl_99 I got them from my magical belt that holds all sorts of goodies: pens, swords, hamburgers… I bought it the other day at the International Imagination Store. 😉

@daeus oh, right 😛 Maybe you could ask Brett Harris or Jaquelle Crowe. There might be a special space in there for stuff like this, but it would probably be best to ask.

Audrey Caylin replied to the topic Help with a Story Idea in the forum Novel Idea Critiques 7 years, 7 months ago
@delightinlife Yeah, that’s tough. I’ve had that happen with quite a few stories. 😛
First, everything that @Jane-Maree said is fantastic. I don’t have much to add besides perhaps setting this idea aside for a week at least. It might be frustrating, but sometimes if we try not to think about a novel for a little while, it’s easier to go back to…[Read more]

@daeus I second what @sierra-r said. I’m in YWW, and I know that basically every single one of them would be eager to take this survey. I would definitely start there if I were you.
The Facebook group isn’t as active as it used to be, but the closed community group is active 24/7. I’m not sure if you’re on there, but I could share the link there…[Read more]

My editing fuel is all empty, so I’m taking a lunch break now.

@Jane-Maree I’m going to call it a night. I succeeded in spending an hour and a half total rewriting the same travel scene. In the end, I just decided that the “disaster” was that my character began to lose her mind 😛
See you around!

@that_writer_girl_99 you’re welcome! You’ve got this *high-fives*

@that_writer_girl_99 I do it all the time too 😛 I hear other people talking about the method, and I just stare at them as I try to comprehend why I’d forgotten it.

@that_writer_girl_99 I think a good way to solve that might be with the infamous “what if?” question. Like “what if the protagonist said this? And what if so-and-so reacted like this?” That might help get chapter into motion.

@Jane-Maree I’m back and setting out with epic music and scene structure to conquer that travel scene xD
@that_writer_girl_99 hello! *waves* I don’t believe we have met. Though I think I saw you somewhere in that discussion about Gollum earlier today 😉

@aratrea the 13th is the only one I can make, unfortunately 😛 I have something scheduled during that exact hour on the 14th, and I’ll be in the car with no wi-fi on the 17th. But I’ll manage with whatever is decided 🙂

@Jane-Maree @Dragon-Snapper I’m going to be off for a half hour or so getting dinner. (and moaning over how travel scenes are so hard to write 😛 )

@Jane-Maree Don’t mind if I do (even if I haven’t had dinner yet xD)
@dragon-snapper thanks!
