@northerner Yes–it will be recorded. 🙂 We’ll be sending out a link sometime after the webinar Monday or Tuesday.
The normal price of Theme Mastery will be $147, but we’ll be running a sale where it’s only $97 for the first week of its release.

I’ll second Woodland Quill and Helping Writers Become Authors. Storymonger is also good and is run by a guy who used to write for KP 4-5 years back, but the site is no longer being updated so you’ll need to read the archives: http://thestorymonger.com/ Similar thing with Bryan Davis’ website; he’s still posting critiques, but to get his writing…[Read more]

@winter-rose I can’t actually figure out why I didn’t feel a connection. =P Her thoughts seemed to be a bit generic at times, but it also may just be that some characters don’t click for everyone, and this was just a case where the protagonist didn’t click for me. So I don’t know if it’s necessarily the fault of the book.

@winter-rose I never felt emotionally invested in the protagonist, so the book didn’t move me as much as it did for other people here. :/ That being said, the book didn’t annoy me, and given that most dystopia books and most Christian fiction books annoy me, that caused this book to stand out. I also appreciated Brandes’ gutsiness in making Parvin…[Read more]

@anne-of-lothlorien That’s awesome! 😀 I’ll pray that your aunt’s pregnancy goes well (as well as all the others). Hope the root canal isn’t terribly nerve-wracking!

@ethryndal No problem; continue working through it at your own pace. 🙂 How would you say scene one ties into your story’s theme, apart from setting up the other two scenes?

@ethryndal It actually grows on me the more I see it. Looking like a Russian novelist has always been a partial-dream of mine. 😀
@anne-of-lothlorien This will probably just be temporary, but I’ll at least do it for a week. 😉

@ethryndal Wow; I’m getting major “Russian author” vibes from that sketch, so it’s really hard for me to complain about having that look! 😛 Probably the closest to Dostoevsky I’ll ever get. 😉

@that_writer_girl_99 Thanks for the tag!
@Lady_Erin Yeah, sorry, I’m one of the few weird people here whose username doesn’t match their profile name. =P If you go to someone’s profile by clicking their name, you’ll be able to see what their username is. It takes a bit, but you’ll get used to who has different username/profile name combinations…[Read more]
