She looked over her shoulder to make sure that Chase was still there…that he hadn’t left her, and then she quickly found an empty table and sat down.

“Y-yeah, I-I’m fine,” he lowered his eyes.

If he doesn’t want to talk about it, I’m not going to make him. 

“We should go find some fun stuff to do!” Sef smiled at him, hoping that he’d smile too.

Every time he smiled, her world got a little brighter.
