@sarah-h What?!? Anna Brie and I aren’t Australian enough writers for you?
Anyway for proper authors – Try Mary Grant Bruce; Frank Dalby Davison; Eleanor Spence; Mavis Thorpe Clark; Ruth Park; Elyne Mitchell; Nance Donkin.
I’m sorry I can’t list any more. Most of the books in our libray are by American authors. 😀
But Mary and Mavis write very…[Read more] -

@Anna-Brie Liberal is your Conservative party? In America, the liberals are the opposite of the conservatives, and the Democrats have decidedly unChristian values. I had no idea that the same word could be used so differently in different countries. 🙂

@anna-brie You have a queen? Is she more of a national figure or does she actually have a position in government? Who is she?
Does sound kinda like a Brittish-American mesh. Do prime ministers have term limits?

Hope covered a lot of it. One thing about the states is that they all have their own constitutions so their state governments do vary.
As far is the presidential election, each party decides how their primaries are run. I don’t know very much about how the democratic primaries work (and I don’t even have the republican primary system…[Read more]

@anna-brie Ah, American elections. Let’s see. 🙂
First off, the government is broken down into two main groups, the nation, and the state. On the national level, we elect a president, a house of representatives (the amount of representatives being proportionate to the population of the state) and a Senate, which has two senators for each sate. At…[Read more]

Hi Sarah. Hmmm….Australia.
The biggest island in the world and the smallest continent. We have three oceans that touch Australia. (I didn’t know about one until maybe two days again. 😀 )
Each state/territory is very different from each other. I have been to South Australia, New South Wales and and Kangaroo Island. (Just off South Aus)
I have…[Read more] -

Ohhh, I see. It’s not one big decision; it’s many little realizations and choices that slowly lead up to her making the big decision. Thank you for clarifying that.
Don’t give us long scenes with nothing but the character sitting and pondering all this
That’s what I was dreading when I made the “annoying and unrealistic” comment. Action s…[Read more]

I think @hope said everything I could have @anna-brie… I will just point out that the Father is justice, and the Son is mercy— and there had to be justice before there could be mercy. Love fulfills justice and makes mercy possible. And you have to accept the love before you can claim the mercy. If you don’t accept it, you only get what you…[Read more]

An elephant who just loves mice.
That is so cute @rolena-hatfield. Have you seen the movie Dumbo? That has an elephant who likes a mouse called Timothy. Sweet movie.:)
@anna-brie Are you interested in writing to each other? I can get Kelly to send you my email address if you want.

“I would throw up water so that the light of the torch would catch it.” 🙂
Confession: My sister is Kelly Just. She told me that she met you but I hadn’t made the connection.
And I’d heard the answer via my siblings.
Isn’t it a small world??? 😛 @anna-brie -

Fluvial geomorphologist is someone who is devoted to understanding rivers, both in their natural setting as well as how they respond to human-induced changes in a watershed. 😛 😛 😛
How did you know about it @anna-brie? I had to google it to find out. I’d never have thought of it if someone had asked me. 😀 My knowledge is not that great.Oops…[Read more]

@anna-brie I do, but I have it through google and for some reason they only let you renew your name for ten years. Anyhow, my year expires in May so I plan to just buy a new one.
Also, as to wordpress, for the moment I’ve decided to just use WordPress.com. I have limited memory, but I think I’ll be able to do everything else I want (I think).…[Read more]
