I also liked the way Leon realizes he’s dying, and that he doesn’t have much time left to work here. The urgency that comes over his actions was real to me.
And then the whole “you’re crazy but I still kinda admire your attitude” thing was funny, but unfortunately real.

Okay. XD
- It directly applied to today. Ian was hopeless. Utterly hopeless. And there really wasn’t anything better than Heaven itself to offer him. Most people today are already living in hell. They need to know heaven is real.
- We saw that suicide attempt coming, even though you didn’t spell that out. And then you thwarted a…

Where did you come from?!?! 😂
*Wiggles fingers mysteriously*Â Narnia…
I wonder what is hooking everyone so much about this section?! Why do y’all like it so much?
I guess it felt well balanced to me, better than some of the others. You did more show than tell; your characters were interacting with each other and their own st…[Read more]

It’s Rolf! XD I was expecting someone from Vandalia or somewhere like that, not Rolf.
And yeah. I actually read the chapters in my email to avoid spoiling, although it does mean I often forget to comment.
But oooooo, I liked this chapter. Definitely ready for the next one.
(And I still don’t think this book is darker than the…[Read more]

Leo
The elevator rattled on its assent, nearly drowning out the kid’s quiet words. Leo leaned back against the smooth metal wall an, enjoying the rythmic click of well built machinery even if it was a bit rough. His thumbs hooked into his belt.
“Ah, me too, kid. A title’d probably make it that much harder to be inconspicuous.”…[Read more]

Well done! I appreciate how you wrote that in a way that a younger audience wouldn’t understand his implications, yet you didn’t shy away from the point. And oh, Ara.
She should have told him. But that’s not an easy thing to say.
And November. Dear, loving November.
I hope this Uncle beats the snot from that kid in one way or…[Read more]

Ooooo!!! I love this section!!!
Ok. Callan is a knave, and that was creepy, but well done. This description of him made me laugh:
Callan’s voice sounded like something that crawled out of a swamp.
And November facing someone he fears to protect Ara was AMAZING. And her Uncle is fantastic. Being a PK myself, I loved his c…[Read more]

*Sniff*
That’s beautiful. I love how realistic his theme is. I wish more books addressed the need to love God first. Knowing God is the deepest, innate need of us humans. But it’s too easy to see that on paper and not draw it out in real life.
What really crushes me about the situation he’s in right now, is that when he sees…[Read more]

Ok. You about made me cry.
That is so sad. I can see November’s motives so clearly that it’s painful, because it’s just… So true, and yet so, so wrong. Riven is using the truth to tell a lie. And poor, sweet November is caught in the middle. Riven using affection to manipulate November breaks my reader-heart.
I could pound…[Read more]

Leo
He paused with his hand on the elevator button and looked back at Rory.
“Be a bit hard to thrash fear out with more fear, don’t you think?” He watched the kid’s eyes narrow a bit in thought, then continued half to himself. “No, they wanted you to be more afraid of them than anything else, not make you unafraid. Only…[Read more]

I was thinking up the elevator to the top floor and a empty office (possibly with a frustrated teacher who was trying to prepare their next lesson and got dropped on the head)?
Leo
“Knighted?” His eyebrows furrowed together. “It’s an archaic practice of dedicating elite soldiers called knights. A thousand years ago boys would…[Read more]

Leo
“Sir Leo?” A grin twitched at his mouth. “Don’t think I’ve been knighted yet–and not likely ever to be–, and I’m definitely not a senior officer.” he laughed, amused despite Rory’s too serious expression.
“I’d be glad to have you with me. Let’s go argue with an ancient AC unit.”
He led the way out the door,…[Read more]

(Almost started this RP with my Russian keyboard on. Definitely not what I expected to be typing. XD)

The last screw dropped into the bucket. Leo looked up from his tinkering with the radios at the sudden stop of the steady plink, tink sounds.
“All done? Great job. We just got a work order for an AC unit. Sounds like it’s…[Read more]

It would definitely depend. Lol.
In Eirtan, I would stick out like a sore thumb, but the people are very nice. They might laugh at me, but one or two of the more respectable people would help me out. As long as I avoided Raiders and Dorwains and didn’t drown or suddenly become alergic to sheep, I would be fine. If I met up with the…[Read more]

Hmmm. I have too many WIPs
Welp, if I ended up in Areth Realms, I’d have about a 50% chance of survival depending on which people group I ended up with (Vere=dead. Alven= probably survive if made it beyond the first 10 minutes. Gnomes= I’d be fine. Randir= probably survive? They won’t hurt a woman)
If Cleft of the Cosmos, I’d be okay if I could…[Read more]

Aw, Hugo.
Viktor
It was nice to be part of a group. The chipped plaster work on the ceiling smiled down at them from between florescent lights. Viktor adjusted his bag with a smile.
He would have offered to lend Lois his books, but he was relieved when Hugo had. Viktor had notes scribbled in the margins, and his…[Read more]

Those are splendid. XD I love it. That is pretty accurate. In cannon, Viktor almost gets arrested for existing in the wrong place at the wrong time. Hehe.
@ellette-gisselle Well, considering Leo is an international outlaw…. He’s probably seen the inside of prison a few times, if only in his dreams. XD
