@jenwriter17 @dekreel @dragon-snapper @skredder @pretty-much-anyone-who-is-on-kingdom-pen Do any of you know what time zone KP is set to? I’m on the West Coast, so it gets kinda confusing after a while. Plus, I’m lazy and don’t want to do the math. 😛 I mean, who wants to do math when you can be writing? (Hope I didn’t offend anyone who likes…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Sorry for butting in, but… You like The Andy Griffith Show too? If you want full episodes on something other than YouTube, you can go to this station called “MeTV,” they show a ton of the 1960-170-80s shows. It’s kinda awesome.
Well…yeah. Sorry again, that had absolutely nothing to do with writing. *goes to hide in a corner in…[Read more]

@nicolerivers03 I’ll try him! But I draw manga, so I doubt that it will be realistic.
Oh. I can’t draw guns…. Sorry. I’ll still draw him though, but he won’t have a gun.

@dragon-snapper Thanks! Yeah, I like Norse mythology. (And Greek, and Roman, and Egyptian, and *list goes on and on*) And “elf” and “alf” could be used either way, since they both apply to the same race. Yes, the characters are important!
Thanks! I will definitely post my story (which now has a title! yay! The Trials of Ualair Fencaryn) after…[Read more]

@rochellaine YAY! That is true, free stories are awesome!
Okay, that would be great too!
Okay, thanks for the advice! (Info? Instructions? :D)
Okay. (Wow. I say that too much…) 🙂
Thanks!

@rochellaine Really? People want to read it? 😀 😀 😀 Before you want to read it, do you know what it’s about? I have my basic ideas jotted down in “Norse Mythology Short Story”, a forum topic by me. Sooo…. um…yep.
Um, I’m planning on posting it in the forum “Norse Mythology Short Story” (by me) once I figure out how to get the shareable link…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 Hmm…what’s it about? I’m currently reading The Inheritance series by Christopher Paolini, specifically book one Eragon, by recommendation from a friend. (Wait. Did I just use improper grammar?????? 😅 *dies inside* *undies* *glares at self*) By the way, if you haven’t read Inheritance, you should.

@rochellaine Oh, thanks! That helps a LOT!
Yep, it helped! (Honestly, I was just tagging Skredder ’cause he was apparently beta-testing[?] the Clouded Fury short. But this helps a lot, soo…… Thanks!)

@skredder By the way, how would you get someone to beta-read a story? Is it just what you did, posting the link of the Google Doc onto the forum? Or would you give certain people Comment Only access? I have a story that I’d like advice on, so would that count as a beta-read? Sorry for the random question…

@that_writer_girl_99 Yes, it’ll make sense in the story. I’m actually planning on posting it in the forum (possibly this one), but I need to figure out how to get the link. Thanks for the advice!

@rochellaine Thanks! I play around with Sindarin from LOTR and Norwegian to come up with random stuff. 😀
Ualair is pronounced *looks at Google Doc where pronunciation guide is* *looks back at KP* (Yew-AH-lair Fehn-CAR-yin)

WarrenLuther04 replied to the topic Character Name Exchange in the forum Fantasy 8 years, 2 months ago
@rochellaine I like making names, but I’m kind of late. Here’s a couple of names that I’ve been using in a short story I’ve been working on:
Ualair Fencaryn
Saelethil Fencaryn
(Don’t judge please, they are Alf [elf] names… 🙃🙂

WarrenLuther04 replied to the topic Norse Mythology Short Story in the forum Short Story Critiques 8 years, 2 months ago
@that_writer_girl_99 Yes, I imagined that that would happen. That was actually mostly just me jotting (well, typing…) my ideas down. Basically, after Ualair returns to Alfheim, Loki and Laufey will start Ragnarok: the death of Yggdrasil and the Nine Realms. The Aesir, or the Viking gods, will perish, along with the Jotuns, Vanir (the gods of…[Read more]

@catwing @dragon-snapper @dekreel
I’m starting a short story on Norse/Viking mythology centering around an Alf named Ualair Fencaryn. (Yew-AH-lair Fehn-CAR-yin). Does this basic idea sound good?
Elf finds a magical stone that transports him through Yggdrasil to Midgard, Svartalfheim, Muspellheim, and eventually Niflheim. Must figure out how to…[Read more]

@skredder Oh okay. But still, I really liked it! Maybe you could try publishing your book on KP? (Wow. I say that to a lot of people.
@gh24682468999 Agreed…I can safely say that Tug and Abelard (Arbelard? How do you spell it again… 😅) plus Sable are my favorite characters. And maybe Will, Evanlyn, and Horace! Hmm… interesting!

@gh24682468999 Hey! Another person (besides me) who has read Ranger’s Apprentice!!!!!! (Sorry, it’s a really good series in my opinion.)
Oh…um…sorry, that was totally off-topic for this forum.
@skredder I like it! So is this a part of a story, or a stand alone one?
