@gracie-j I think I’ll be around for a bit (but might have to hop off any minute) 🙂
Hmm, Google Doc links usually work on here… did you use the link provided in the ‘share’ button at the upper right corner?

SeekJustice replied to the topic What do you believe is one of the most important elements of a good story? in the forum Topic of the Week 4 years ago
For me it’s character and settings. The character bit is pretty obvious I think, I get invested in the characters and they’re the ones that make me really enjoy the story. But next to that, I really love settings and worlds! It’s an amazing feeling reading a book that really delves into the worldbuilding, whether that be fantasy,…[Read more]

I’m a bit late to the party, but I analysed three pieces altogether, randomly picked from my current WIP and my last WIP. For the two pieces from my current WIP, I got James Joyce (who I’ve never read) and Stephen King (who I’ve also never read, but I’ve seen enough snippets of his to say, yeah fair I guess). and then the snippet from the older…[Read more]

@gracie-j Cool! 😀 Currently I am enjoying a break from editing while the book is with beta readers. I’m going back and forth between working on scene outlines for a sequel book and researching random things.

I’ll let you know how book 2 is when I get to it. 😉
Ooh, cool, I’ll have to check that one out! I’m always on the lookout for new musicals. 🙂 Which reminds me: what are your top recommendations for old shows (60’s-ish)? My family’s looking to change up our regular shows. 🙂

I liked the first book in the space trilogy. It had some pretty interesting worldbuilding. I didn’t read the other two. My older brother told me the third wasn’t good. I don’t know why I didn’t read the second. 😛
Yes, I just found Only the Brave, a musical about the British gliders preparing for the D-Day invasion, and the Fren…[Read more]

@gracie-j I will! 😀 I might do a whole blog post on it too… Okay, see ya later!
I just finished All the Queen’s Sons by Elizabeth Kipps and I’m starting the first book in C. S. Lewis’ sci-fi trilogy, which is really good so far. Watched any good musicals lately?

I haven’t heard of MaryLu Tyndall, but I just looked her up and her books sound fun. 🙂 Have you read any of Rafael Sabatini’s books or seen any of the old 30s swashbuckling movies?
I’m doing great. 🙂
Have you read any good books lately?

Life insurance rules and regulations. My dad’s a financial planner, and I’m doing some work with the family business.
I’ve been wanting to ask you, what are some of your favorite swashbuckling novels/movies? (I assume you like the genre since you’re writing about pirates…?) 😛
