@seekjustice I’m only a couple pages in, but I’m liking it so far. 😀
Blurbs are hard, aren’t they?

Awesome! How are you liking it so far? I’m working on a blurb for a new project at the moment 😉

They are the worst 🙁 *insert various annoyed and disgusted emojis*
Cool! What are you working on? I’ve done my blogging so I’m ready to move on to something else.

@seekjustice Oh colds are so annoying to us musically inclined humans! 😉 it takes the pleasure right out of singing…
I think I can be around for a bit. 🙂

@rochellaine @jenwriter17 Seeing as that was 1:30 in the morning…no. I neither get up nor stay up that early!
Speaking of singing all the time, I’ve had a cold lately and now my voice is just gone which is making my habitual singing very difficult. It’s driving me crazy! especially the fact that I usually have a very deep, powerful sort of…[Read more]

@rochellaine hmm…good point. 🙂
I actually have to go too. Bye!

@jenwriter17 Not being able to sing high notes could just mean you need practice. 😉
Okay, well, I’ve got to go now. I’ll probably be on for a bit tonight. Bye!

@rochellaine No, but I’d love to hear it one day! 😉
Yes, I do sing around the house a lot. I had actually just heard something about relaxing helping with higher notes; thank you for the reminder. 😉 And I so know what you mean by the high screaming thing people do! I don’t like it either.
I don’t know what my exact range is, but it’s probably…[Read more]

@jenwriter17 You don’t even know what my voice sounds like! 😛
Um, let’s see…
Well, I would say sing all the time. Around the house, while doing your work, while driving, whatever. Practice does make perfect, and your voice will get stronger with use. You probably already do this, though. 😉
The one thing that really bugs me about mo…[Read more]

@rochellaine yup 😀
I’ve been researching lately about how to improve my singing voice. I don’t perform or anything (NOR DO I INTEND AT ANY POINT IN MY LIFE…ahem), but I thought I’d ask you if you had any tips about singing.

@jenwriter17 Yeah, no, I wouldn’t have gotten more than a few pages into it by now, probably. I do most of my reading in the evening.
Remember, she made my Jonas scene canon! 😀 Of course she changed it quite a bit so it would fit in with the story correctly, but Jonas does visit Chessy in jail! 😀 😀

@rochellaine Ah, I see…special privileges. 😉 that makes me feel better; so I’m not too slow of a reader. 🙂

@jenwriter17 Okay. 🙂
Well, actually she let me start reading the second draft early. I think @dekreel has also started reading the second draft. SeekJustice was letting me read it as she was writing it. 😉

@rochellaine Awesome, thank you! If Seekjustice’s deadline passes and I make no mention of picking up your story again, don’t hesitate to remind me. 😉
Wow, you’re already that far??? unfortunately, I’m kind of a slow reader. 🙂

Rochellaine replied to the topic Writers' Corner #19 in the forum General Writing Discussions 8 years, 1 month ago
@jenwriter17 I’m fine. 🙂
Yes, of course. 😉 I already had several people read it, and I just wanted a quick perspective on how the opening was going and what types of things I might need to change before I got too far into the book. So I’ve got that, and can write again. And by the time you’re ready, I should have more written for you to re…[Read more]

Cool. 🙂
I’m doing pretty well. How are you?
I have a question: is it okay if I postpone reading your story until after I’m done with Seekjustice’s? I want to be able to meet her deadline, and it usually takes me a while to finish beta jobs.

@rochellaine Oh, yeah, I keep forgetting the time difference she’s in. 🙂
What are you working on?

@jenwriter17 I’d probably faint if @seekjustice appeared at this time of day. 😛 But I’m here for just a little bit.
