@aella It’s a name I’ve had for a while and is just a truncated version of my real name. I’m going to have fun finding Hope too.
@Hope Do you have a novel set up? Perhaps searching for it, if you give us the name would work better.
Ot you could just find each of us and add us as a writing buddy and we wouldn’t have to search. -

@aella I’m not doing NaNo this year–I’ll be doing college. 🙁 Y’all have fun, though!

@aella This will be my first year, so I don’t have a username there.

@aella
You have my sword! Or rather, in this case, it would be a pencil and pen. I shall attempt this feat with blazing ink, but if I find that it is too hard an obstacle for myself, then I shall have to raise the white flag. The month of november tends to a hard winter every year, full of business and various chores.
In modern english, what the…[Read more] -

@aella I will fight alongside the rest of you! *straps on sword* *checks on daggers and bow* I’ve never done NaNoWriMo, though I have done some of the camps. But I do want to this year. I’m going to be writing a novella and a prequel to the novella, so I’m thinking around 45,000 words. I’m planning on planning and outlining the story in September…[Read more]

@aella Have you done NaNo before? I did it for three years but my word count goal was never beyond 40,000. How many hours a day does it take to write a 50,000 word novel? I’d love to do it but I have to see what my school workload looks like. Between school and dance I’m usually pretty busy, but I should know in a couple of weeks. I’ll keep you…[Read more]

@Aella I would love to do (or at least try) NaNo someday, ‘but today is not that day!’ (Since we’re going with battle speeches here. *wink*) Mainly, life is too busy for that at this point. I wish you all luck though. 😀

@aella To NaNoWriMo or not to NaNoWriMo, that is the question.
Or at least it would have been if NaNoWriMo had been around during Shakespeare’s time. I’ve been going back and forth a lot about whether or not to do it. I would absolutely LOVE to, and have wanted to participate for years, but NaNoWriMo happens to come around when my school year is…[Read more]

@aella I can’t say for sure, but I’m hoping too. My editing is first priority for me, but November should hopefully be a lot lighter on that side of things. If so, I’m hoping to write 50,000 words or more. I’ve never actually done NaNoWriMo before, but I essentially keep up a NaNoWriMo schedule most of the year nowadays.
As for advice, since…[Read more]

Thanks, @aella ! You write like you’re a fun person to talk to. 🙂
Quite frankly, I haven’t written much at all lately. Maybe I’ll try that wallowing idea. 😉
Really, I feel more motivated just reading your post. Maybe I’ll rediscover “Writer’s Corner” in the morning. 😀

I do have that problem, @winter-rose ! How about that? 😉
I haven’t come up with a cool name to describe outliners yet, but when I do, you’ll be the first to know.My projects? They’re coming along, @aella … if not so fast as I expected, they’re still coming along.
I’ve been real busy too, @zoe-wingfeather . I’m just beginning to bury…[Read more]

@Aella the best laid plans of white-rabbit chasers. *sighs* I’ve only ever done a vague version of a character sketch when I got halfway through my book and realized I didn’t know my protagonist very well at all.
Most of my ideas are kept *taps head* right here. Probably not the most efficient way to write.HC

@Aella YES. I am constantly impressed by how politely people on this forum disagree with each other. Just a shout out to all you awesome people— I really appreciate the courtesy and consideration you show in everything, especially disagreement. People these days have forgotten how to disagree politely, and it is so refreshing to see people…[Read more]
