Leo
Not sure what…Leo looked up.
“A dream proffession? It’s what you wish or dream you could do for a job, since you don’t have to be a soldier now.” He straightened one of the pencils and tightened the wrap. “For instance, Silvia wants to be a research doctor someday.”
He tucked the end of the ace wrap back under itself,…[Read more]

R.M. Archer replied to the topic Anyone want to take a survey for an essay I'm writing? in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year ago
I filled out the survey. As a technical note, you may want to change the question about average phone use—either to take text input rather than a number only, or to be more specific (e.g. “how many hours do you spend on your phone on average per day“)—so that your data is more clear. I input the daily average hours my phone has tracked and…[Read more]

Oof, yeah no. I plum don’t like Victor Hugo’s writing, so I’m with you on that.
I don’t particularly enjoy heaven scenes either, but when an author takes a moment to show that God is actually with us down here, like when Aaron knew Jesus was so close and when the Maker talks to Janner at the Fane of Fire and felt the love of the…[Read more]

Not sure where you go that from the board, but interesting guess…………
Oh, it was a prediction that came from the general feel of the board, and the last book.
Oh, well thanks for straightening that out! I had considered it. 😂
*Bows* You’re welcome. Glad I could be of service.
Interesting. I would say a majority of my charact…

1)There will be mob fights.
2)Nearly everyone we love will get hurt.
3)Leon and Jullian’s pasts will come back to haunt them.
4)There will not be a plane crash, or a nuclear war.
5)The journal will be continued.
6)Prepare for major fallout to begin from the Prince dying in the last book.
7)Someone is going to meet Jesus,…[Read more]

No, we don’t do infant baptism. We will baptize children who understand what baptism is ect. and want to be baptized (I was baptized at 6 years old for instance), but we don’t baptize infants. While a soul is the same size no matter the age, we believe baptism must be a choice just like the rest of salvation, a decision on the…[Read more]

Ugh, y’all. I was listening to an audiobook version of The Guardian by Dee Henderson, and the reader’s voice got stuck in my head. Now whenever I read anything–and I mean literally anything–I hear it in this low, slightly gravely, male voice. Even my thoughts are getting half drawled.
The book was good. The reader I wish I could live without.

You’re fine. XD I’m obviously not excessively active on KP right now (Ellette and Whalekeeper are currently conducting my funeral, LOL).
KP’s also been giving me fits, so I’m giving you a heads up that I may be a while checking back h…[Read more]

Koshka replied to the topic Is there any popular trope or writing style you don’t get the hype for? in the forum Topic of the Week 1 year ago
Ugh. If any of y’all decide to write a “good twin/evil twin” trope (and I don’t care if it is well done or not at this pount) you will be getting a letter from me. I’ve been asked that stupid question a few too many times, as well as it’s frustrating cousin “who’s the mean/nice one?”. If one of y’all pick it up, prepare for Koshka to be severely…[Read more]

R.M. Archer replied to the topic How do you world build? in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year ago
I love to discuss worldbuilding! How I approach the worldbuilding process depends on the world. I have three main worlds I revisit, so I have three main processes, which I laid out in a blog post a few years ago.
There are certain factors that overlap among all of my worlds:
- I always have some core framework in mind–whether that’s a timeline…

R.M. Archer replied to the topic Scrivener Questions in the forum General Writing Discussions 1 year ago
I don’t know the answers to all of these questions simply because my experience doesn’t cover all of them, but I can say:
2. Yes. I actually keep my Scrivener files on an external drive so that I can easily switch between my desktop and laptop (both Windows computers), so I don’t need to move said files, but prior to that I did keep copies on…[Read more]

@elishavet-pidyon Thank you! I’m glad they were both helpful to you!
Aw, thanks! It’s good to be around! I can’t keep up much (it might help a little if I changed my KP email address so I get notifications to an email I check more regularly… though that wouldn’t help with the obstacle of busyness, lol), but I try to pop in when I have time and…[Read more]

We’ll see if KP lets me post the link or not, but I actually have a blog post all about how to approach the creation of allegorical/pseudo-allegorical religions!

1. What are your thoughts on Jesus having siblings? I believe that Mary and Joseph were blessed with kids (three sons and daughters, if I remember correctly.) They would technically be Jesus’s half-siblings.
2. If you could visit one of the holy sights from around the world, where would you go? And why? Holy sites? The Western…[Read more]

Oh goodness, this kid is so awfully oblivious. It’s a handkerchief! XD
Leo
Rummaging through several junk drawers produced a thin foam pad, two unsharpened pencils, an old knit shirt, and one hopefully unused ace wrap from a questionablely dated first aid kit.
“Let’s see what we can do for that knee.”
He knelt in front of…[Read more]

Leo
He slipped his handkerchief into Rory’s. The work fridge down here had a case of water bottles. Leo got one, opened it, and set it on the small table by the couch.
“I’ll get a few things tied up and we can go.”
First, to message Liko and Silvia. He set his glass tablet down on the…[Read more]

You’re welcome. =D
Leo
His eyebrows rose. The church?
“Alright.” He wouldn’t question it.
“We can take an early lunch break in a few minutes. Or we can go by after work. Whichever you want.”
He’d message Liko and tell him he had to leave early. And he’d send a number over to Silvia to let her know where they’d be.
The kid…[Read more]
