@Northerner I have no idea where my first post went. Here. Have it again.
Okay guys.
@Hope gave me a book with three of G.K. Chesterton’s novels in it as an early birthday present, and though I have only read one of them so far it completely blew my mind.
It was The Ball and the Cross.Has anyone else read it? If so, can we please discuss how…[Read more]

@Abigail-Blomberg Wow. What everyone else said. :’o You got emotion in there all right.
I copied some sentences that have errors in them, besides the ‘lays’ Kate pointed out—I pasted them here, and you can probably figure out what the error is, but if I should point it out go ahead and ask me to. 🙂
But good job!!!I peal shoe off my…

*spends several moments choking and gulping and wiping her eyes*
Ouch.
This is superb. Just… everything. You had some typos, especially a lot in the first part, (and one grammar problem— ‘lays’ instead of ‘lay’ or ‘lies’) but everything else was amazing. I was also struck with how well you characterized Ellen— the quiet, sweet characters can…[Read more] -

@Abigail-Blomberg This is truly excellent. Pretty much everything I ever point out to people when I’m editing you did right. There were like two little things I thought maybe you could improve that I’ve now forgotten, but they weren’t a big deal.

@Abigail-Blomberg Zikers…I think I’m crying! Wow, you succeeded with the emotions thing for sure. Good job! I don’t have anything new to really add as far as critique goes…
Oh, I noticed some of the sentences almost seemed to rhyme. It’s pretty neat and I’m just curious if was intentional? I think it adds a unique flow.5 Again, good work! 🙂 -

@Abigail-Blomberg Thank you very much, now I’m going to go cry.
*ahem* Well. You sought to convey emotion, and GOODNESS. You succeeded. I noticed some typos, but they were few and far between. Other than that… *sobs* yeah. Good job. 🙂

@Abigail-Blomberg Coolio! It’s a nice twist, doing it from Joseph’s perspective.
The main thing I think you might want to work on is the grammar in some places. Some where typos, some where just words together that didn’t quite make sense.
It isn’t perfect, but it is as perfect as I it can be for my sparrow.
This line had me a little confused a…[Read more]

@Abigail-Blomberg I really love the idea of taking the story from Joseph’s perspective, and I love the symbolism of a songbird you chose to represent their love. Great choice. There were only a few things I noticed that actually needed work— for one, you seem to randomly switch back and forth between past tense and present tense. That can be…[Read more]

Welcome back, @abigail-blomberg.
One of the best ways to navigate the forum is from the home page. At the very bottom, there is a list of the five most recently started topics. That’s the easiest way to tell if there’s a new thread. On the bottom of the sidebar on this site, we also have a “recent forum replies section.” That gives you the five…[Read more]

@abigail-blomberg @bluejay I don’t think there is a way for you to delete a post. It just might work though if you clicked the edit button and erased your entire message. Otherwise, I can delete messages, so you can just contact me and ask me to delete one for you.
