February 2, 2026 at 2:32 am #210456Oh, I love 4! 4 is a warm red. In color like a brick red like what @whalekeeper said, but it’s not brick. It’s chocolate! Warm and sweet specialty cocoa. Such a cozy, quiet number. One of the few females in the group. 2’s mother, 5’s wife. Great friends with 9, 11, 12, 24, and 45.

February 2, 2026 at 2:40 am #21045821 just has the paparazzi, doesn’t he?
Also, I find it interesting that nobody rose to defend 23.
I mean, on one side 23 may be nicer than my childhood versions of 3, 7, 8, and 21, but I don’t trust it. I can’t decide if it’s shy or stuck up or seriously up to something.
Numbers can get better though. 8 has grown significantly past the terrible bullying habits of his childhood since he became 2•2•2. 8 is now a pretty decent chap, surprisingly.

February 2, 2026 at 3:02 am #2104614 in a a dull old red. It’s a bit tired from looking after it’s little sister 2. It keeps coming up with the stupidest dad jokes.
I don’t particularly like 4, but it’s’s better than 8.

(PS. Pfp by SelkieSeal on Unvale. My dear Chase ❤️?)February 10, 2026 at 1:07 pm #210674Hii hello Admin on Story Stewards here ???
First off, JWM/Story Stewards was created within like the span of a year, it’s new, and Justice put it together completely on his own without anyone to help him.
From everything I have seen and from conversations with Justice, Story Stewards being called a “church” refers to the fact that the body of Christ as a whole is the church. We’ve gotten stuck in this belief that there are several churches, and yes, church buildings are important of course, but the body of Christ itself is the church, point blank period.
Witchcraft, Occult things, and hard topics etc are kept off Story Stewards due to the fact that most members are teenagers and not only can those members themselves be uncomfortable with it, but their parents may be against such a thing as well. It’s to protect the members hearts and minds, and as someone that came across mature content way before I should have, it does leave an effect on someone’s mind. For some, reading a character with suicidal thoughts may help them see healing. But for others, it could make them want to commit suicide. It’s for the protection of the members, many of whom are minors.
We try to keep comparisons and competition off of Story Stewards because it causes unrest and for some a lot of feeling like they aren’t doing good enough, aren’t a good writer, etc. Story Stewards is meant to be a place of support and a place where writers, especially young and inexperienced writers, can feel safe.
As an example, we wouldn’t want someone to always be saying that someone else’s writing is better than theirs or someone saying that their writing is better than others, if that makes sense. It’s a lot of not comparing your journey to others’ because everyone’s writing journey is different.
Heated debates means a lot of disagreements that go past simple disagreements. When it turns into arguing or trying to prove one point over another where one person says their opinion is right above all others, or if anything starts to get aggressive is where Story Stewards draws the line.
Because, again, it’s meant to be a safe space for writers, especially those who are on the younger side.
But with all that said, if anyone doesn’t agree with Story Stewards then you don’t have to be apart of it. I think there are different writing communities for different writers, and I know Justice’s heart is in the right place.
I think a lot of assumptions can be made, and I think it’s important that we remember that Story Stewards is new and nothing and no one is perfect.

February 10, 2026 at 2:58 pm #210677Story Stewards doesn’t even refer to itself as a church anymore, but rather a sanctuary for Christian writers

February 10, 2026 at 4:19 pm #210678Thank you for responding! That all makes sense, but could you please ask someone to put that in the Community Guidelines? Cool for Justice that he did all that himself, but I’d consider it very important that the Community Guidelines are clear and concise.
I would never have made this post if all that was in the Community Guidelines.
Being new is no excuse for not fixing a problem that I would consider easily fixable especially being writers.

Your answers cover a lot of my concerns. I kinda guessed it was meant in a way like that, but I definitely think the term “Sanctuary” fits better, with less confusion. I agree that the content guide needs to be clearer if others did not understand it, but hopefully that will be refined as it develops. SSC is a great idea and I hope it goes far.
Still not sure I’ll join. Maybe I will, maybe not. Like you said, not every community is a good fit for everyone. I’m having to find ways to help me focus, and being on multiple communities does not seem to be one of them. I failed a class while on there, so bad associations. -_-
But if I do, I’ll let you know. In theory, it’s the kind of approach to writing that would fit me perfectly. XD

February 11, 2026 at 10:17 am #210696@rae I have already discussed the concerns expressed here (anonymously ofc) with Justice and we’ll be working on making the guidelines more clear.
He has a very tight schedule and has a lot of things going on in his life right now. I think it’s important to keep grace always on our minds, because I doubt any sort of community gets everything right when it first starts, especially when it’s started by one person with an already busy life. ??
