So much truth in one forum thread… π
You know you’re a writer when your garbage can is overflowing with papers that say ‘Chapter One’ at the top.
Silence! Silence everyone, for the king's speech!
January 27, 2018 at 7:34 am #61485*gasp* this place looks fun.
@naomijackson I sooo do that all the time! You know you are a (rather perfectionistic) writer when you have pressed the delete button so many times within the process of writing (this) single sentence because every word has to be just right.

literatureforthelight.wordpress.comJanuary 27, 2018 at 7:45 am #61486And you know you’re a writer when you come on the computer to look up something for school but half an hour later you find yourself on the KP Forum.

You know you’re a writer when you analyze Star Wars for plot details. And you study the characters. And you re-watch over, and over, and over your favorite episode that has a super dramatic ending. Well, that last one might just be evidence that I’m a little too crazy about SW.
January 30, 2018 at 11:56 pm #61875You know you’re a writer when you hear or read someone say “legit,” and your Perfect Grammatacallion self just wants to pull your hair and strangle them and scream, “That’s ‘legitimate!!’ ‘LEGIT-IMATE!!!!!'”
(No offense to anyone here who likes saying that)
@emily… Even though you’re on a hiatus π

You can pronounce it however you want.
January 31, 2018 at 6:20 am #61890You know you’re a writer when you’re asked to write a skit for an announcement, then everybody leaves the room after the meeting is done but you’re still there on your computer, writing.

literatureforthelight.wordpress.comFebruary 3, 2018 at 9:14 pm #62353You know you’re a writer when you make Miis of your character on your Wii.
You know you’re a writer when you miss your character after a few days of not writing.
You know you’re a writer when you say things mainly because it’s a good line.
You know you’re a writer when basically everything in life goes back to writing applications.
You know you’re a writer when you prepare your story notes in a way that makes sense because you want to be prepared to present it to people when you meet them. XD

February 3, 2018 at 9:24 pm #62355@dragon-snapperΒ “Mii.” Ohh, do I love that word
You know you’re a writer when you almost cry while daydreaming up a dramatic and sad story idea
You can pronounce it however you want.
February 3, 2018 at 9:38 pm #62358@dekreel It’s awesome isn’t it!
XD I might or might not have done that. Especially with some sort of dramatic music playing in the background?
You know you’re a writer when you talk to your character as you draw them, or scream at them, telling them to let you draw their nose or else… or else… or else you’ll kill them off!
But it’s an empty threat. And IKE KNOWS IT! GAH!

February 3, 2018 at 11:02 pm #62373@dragon-snapperΒ I was obsessed with Miis a few years ago for some reason. It was a seriously weird phase. 0_o You don’t even want to know……
Music is essential. Coldly essential. I was dreaming up a Monster’s Inc. sequel, actually. And I used the music from the movie where Boo is leaving. It was seriously tear-jerking
HAHA, ohhhh I could see Ike doing that

February 4, 2018 at 12:17 pm #62384@dekreel Ohh, legit. It drives my grammarly nerves nuts. Even more so, “lit.”
You know you’re a writer when you listen to a sad song, smile and decide to write a story that will remind your future readers of this song. And exhaust their tissue supplies when they listen to the song again after reading your story because it will become so much more sad to them. >:)
Read to explore worlds, write to create them.
February 4, 2018 at 2:24 pm #62389You know you’re a writer when you decide not to go to a certain college because they don’t have any writing majors or minors…
You know you’re a writer when your only excuse for not reading is because you’re writing instead.

Hey, this looks like a cool college. Nice academics. Cool website. Looks like it’s not too far from home either, only two hours… What kind of majors do they have? Communications–that’s good. Scroll down. Scroll around. Scroll down. Ummm… OK. *exits out of tab* No writing majors or minors. You’re out, so quit sending me mail. XD
