July 1, 2024 at 9:49 am #181837Update
It’s now about 9:40, and I am beginning to regret this. I’m hitting some writer’s block and stuff. I already ended up breaking one of my own rules half by accident and half on purpose. I ate breakfast at 8:30 abouts, and took a break because my eyes were hurting from the computer screen (and the the hrs sleep started to kick in and I don’t drink caffeine). I came back about 45 minutes later, read some stuff through and just was like “why did I decide this was a good idea?” So, my next plan is to take a break from writing Guardian Angels which I have been since I began, and start writing the 2nd chap of the Secret Shame novella. Hopefully that helps. Also, are plans for this afternoon got cancelled.
If you’re seeing this, plz pray for the woman we were supposed to take somewhere. She’s having a lot of health issues rn.

Yes, please send them on the WIP!!! I can’t wait!! I’m so glad you liked it!

July 1, 2024 at 10:00 am #181840Sorry to hear about that, and I’ll pray for her. Also I second Ellette on that notion, chocolate or sugar will probably help.

I’M DONE!!!!!!
It’s not exact, but I am proud to announce I finished around 12 hours of writing! I wrote somewhere around 9000 words, but after going through and editing sections, I was left with only about 8700 words of progress. Not as far as I hoped, but that’s still about nine days of work for me in one day!
I’m thinking about making this an annual thing for me now to check my progress and catch up on writing!
And now I sign off from this challenge, content to an extent and tired.
How’d you two do?

Challenge ideas: (plz help me add to this list)
- Write as many words as you can in one hour.
- Write a short story a day for one week
- Try to write a short story/snippet in the style of your favorite author(s)
- Try to edit double the number of chapters you usually do in one day.

Not great, I got a severe case of writers block then ultimately had to stop after a little while for something 😅
Hm, challenge ideas eh? I’ll tag you when I come up with a few.

July 1, 2024 at 6:39 pm #181897I was going to do this challenge, but I slept in and then had to run some errands instead. 😞
I think I’m going to try for two hours starting now. I know that isn’t much, but it’s better than the nothing I’ve been doing for years lol

July 2, 2024 at 7:25 am #181910Awesome!!! I wrote for 10 hours, but had to get off to run some errands with my dad. Hmm, challenges. I think on that.
Oh, btw, here is a trick that helps with writers block. Write 500 words a day. Just do it. (Sunday can be an exception) but write 500 words a day. you may come back and delete that scene later on, but it really, really helps to keep your story pushing. It’s like biking uo hill. then all at once you hit the down slope abd everything’s a breeze! I can honestly say I have only had writers block bad once or twice in my life. This really does help. Also…… don’t bog yourself down with editing until you have written what you want to write. For instance, I don’t edit anything until the chapter is finished. It helps to keep the flow going. Sometimes, if i have a good rhythm, i won’t edit for several chapters!
Just a few thoughts. hope they help.
also, I’m still confused how I gave you the idea RAE? Explanation? 🙂
