Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 28, 2019 at 11:20 pm #78966May 28, 2019 at 11:21 pm #78967@alia I finally finished a chapter, that I’d been dragging out, tonight. I’ve been doing more art recently. I’m going to a graduation party Friday. Our goat is having kids soon. 😀
What about you?IMMA KAPEEFER! Til we're old and gray!
May 28, 2019 at 11:27 pm #78968@catwing, I have two more chapters left in part one of Decisions, but they’re being annoying and are refusing to write themselves. I’m currently working on a story for the SE contest. Oh, did I tell you we got chickens????
aww, I want to get goats but our city won’t let them

Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 28, 2019 at 11:40 pm #78970@rochellaine I’m doing good. I finished a chapter that was giving me trouble. But since I decided to make up a little poem before each chapter I had to try and write that. I keep writing ones that would work better for another chapter or the next book. XD I finally got it though.
@alia *nods* This chapter did perk up after I developed one of the characters better. Maybe that would help?
Oh, cool! I’m not sure if I’ll do that or not. Maybe…
I don’t think you did. 😀 We have chickens. Two are broody hens. One of them has hatched her eggs. One of the chicks was injured. I tried to take care of it but it was very weak. So it died last night… One was having trouble hatching and something happened to the shell of another. But they’re under the hen, so hopefully they’re fine. There were three healthy ones, so that’s good. 😀Too bad. They do eat a lot though. *shrug*

May 28, 2019 at 11:49 pm #78971@alia I’ve been doing great! Enjoying the late spring weather, and our new animals. I guess that’s what’s interesting: we’ve been acquiring a whole lot of animals recently because we can have them now at our new place. 😀
@catwing We have a bunch of starter chicks now, and we hope we’ll be able to hatch our own in the future. They are so delicate when they’re young, aren’t they? Do you ever order chicks online?Goats are amazing creatures. 😛

May 28, 2019 at 11:53 pm #78972@catwing Oh, I was so interested in the talk about animals I completely missed the part about your book. 😛
I love books with little poems before each chapter! I’ll admit there have been times when I was so into the story I couldn’t take the time to read the poem, but even if I don’t read the poems until the second time I read the book, that just makes the reread more interesting.
Ah, why is it so easy to think of what to write for all the parts of the story except the one we’re working on?? 😛

May 28, 2019 at 11:58 pm #78973@catwing, I need plot, not character. Right now they are stuck standing around a tree…
I started one but decided to do that not on a time crunch so I took my idea from the Narrators Guild on my blog and am turning it into an actual short story.
our chickens are about three months old, our dog isn’t quite sure how to handle them. If we let them outside to roam the backyard then the dog has to be on a leash for now. she it quite put out with us
@rochellaine, how much land do you have?WIP - Decisions
Kapeefer til we're old and greyMay 29, 2019 at 12:04 am #78974@rochellaine
They are. Tiny, delicate little fluffs. ^_^
We’ve never ordered them online. We got our first 5 hens from Craig’s list, I think. And we got some fertile eggs from a neighbor. Three of the eggs hatched, all roosters. We traded one for a hen and my mom sold one other cause he was mean. These eggs are the decedents of them.Yes, they are. They can jump the electric fence if they put their mind to it.
Well, animals are fun to talk about. Isn’t that why you befriend people? To see their animals? 😛 *I’m mostly joking*
*nods* That’s good. I enjoyed writing them, so I hope they make it to the end. 😀
That is interesting about rereading.I don’t know. I think part of it is cause I’ve dragged this out and rewritten a lot of it times. Also I’m excited for the sequel. 😛
@alia Sometimes characters move the plot. I think…Yeeeesss!!! I loved that one! 😀
We had to get our dogs used to them. It took a bit, but now they’re fine with them, so they don’t need a leash in the backyard.

May 29, 2019 at 12:14 am #78978@catwing That’s a very interesting chicken flock origin story. 😛
They say “If you can throw water through a fence a goat can get through it.” 😉
Isn’t that why you befriend people? To see their animals? *I’m mostly joking*
Emphasis on the “mostly”, right? 😀
@alia We have a little over 50 acres.Aw, goodbye then! 🙁 Hope to talk to you again soon!
