www.jennaterese.comMay 20, 2019 at 8:12 pm #78918@jenwriter17 Hey! I’m here now. I’m not sure how long I can stay, but I might be on again later tonight too.
How’s it going? What are you working on at present?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
May 20, 2019 at 8:18 pm #78919HI! 😀
I’m doing well. And you? I’m working on a blog post and a little outlining for my superhero novel. I’ve figured out a good chunk of it, but I’m having to really work my brain muscles to figure out what happens between a certain two plot points. How about you?
How are the horses? (you gotta know I was gonna ask that 😛 )

www.jennaterese.comMay 20, 2019 at 8:27 pm #78920I’m doing great. 🙂
Oh, it’s so painful when you know exactly what happens at two different points but can’t figure out how to get from one to the other, isn’t it? 😛
I’m looking at a short story I wrote a while ago and trying to figure out how to expand it into a short novel…that’s not going overly well. 😉
The horses are doing really well! They started gaining weight too fast once spring hit us and their pasture is huge, so we had to get them muzzles. We had a riding instructor come a few days ago to tell us how to retrain the paint, and now a few of my siblings have had a chance to ride her. The instructor said we would need a more experienced trainer to help with the thoroughbred, and she recommended someone, so we’ll probably be having him come help us with the thoroughbred soon.

I find it hard to expand shorter stories into longer ones. How do you go about doing that?
That’s awesome that the paint is making progress. 😀 I hope the thoroughbred will too once that trainer works with him.

www.jennaterese.comMay 20, 2019 at 8:51 pm #78922Well, I’ve done it before, but it was five or six years ago. I expanded a story that was about ten or twenty pages long into a 100 page short book. That’s what I want to do with this one. I’m trying to remember what I did, and I’m not sure exactly. I’m going to look through that book and see if I can get any ideas.
I think the best way will probably be to add more character depth and a subplot or something. But if I’m going to add a subplot, I first have to figure out what subplot to add. 😛

May 20, 2019 at 8:54 pm #78923Okay, well I hope the story-expanding works out! 😉
I have to leave now (I don’t think I’ll be on later). Nice talking with you!
