        (Gracious goodness, I just tagged myself :P)

        I’m procrsastinating on writing a character personality sheet thing. And drinking green tea. Do you like green tea? Or any kind of tea? I think this is a topic we haven’t broached yet.

          @seekjustice Haha, your “catchphrase” reminds me that I just read a book where a character said “wowly-wow”ย and a male one at that so I feel quite justified in allowing Derek to say it in my western. ๐Ÿ˜›

          Procrastinating is one of the most fun things to do, isn’t it?

          Hm, you’re right, I don’t think we have. ๐Ÿ˜€ย  I mostly drink tea when I’m sick, and in that case it’s usually echinacea or ginger.ย  But when I’m drinking it for fun my absolute favorite is green tea hibiscus.ย  Have you ever had that?ย  The flavor is amazing!

          Are you a honey or sugar person?ย  (I’ve heard that that’s a common debate, like pineapple on pizza. ๐Ÿ˜‰ )ย  Or do you drink it plain?

            ๐Ÿ˜€ I actually say goodness gracious a lot, but I only ever say it the other way around if I’m trying to make people laugh ๐Ÿ˜›

            I don’t think I’ve ever heard of it. Herbal teas have never been very popular here and its only in more recent years that we’ve been able to buy a variety in mainstream stores. I tend to drink chamomile, or honey and ginger flavoured ones when I’m sick.

            I don’t have either, except as I mentioned when I’ve got a sore throat. I’m not really big on sweeteners in any sort of drink. What about you?

            (My sister doesn’t like pineapple on pizza, but she’s weird. I also think that’s mostly a US debate, because we basically put pineapple on everything. It goes well with beetroot).

              @seekjustice ๐Ÿ˜›

              Do you have Traditional Medicinals tea in Australia?

              I have a huge sweet tooth, so I use honey. ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  Hibiscus tea doesn’t need much honey because it’s sweet already, and I could drink it without, but like I mentioned, I have a sweet tooth. ๐Ÿ˜›ย  The honey is mostly for when I have a sore throat, though.

              Ha.ย  I’m one of the only ones who likes pineapple pizza in my family.ย  Most of my siblings like meat or plain cheese.

              There’s that beetroot again! ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  I’m definitely going to have to try it on a hamburger someday.ย  A lot of my siblings don’t like it because we’ve usually had it canned, and like that it looks almost identical to cranberry sauce, which several of us thought it was the first time we tried it. ๐Ÿ˜›ย  Do you have any funny “tried it, but thought it was something else, and hated it” stories?

                I guess so? But you’d probably have to go to a health food store, or there might be some in the health food section of the supermarket, I don’t know.

                Do you have ham and pineapple pizza? Maybe that’s just an Australian thing.

                What about pineapple? Do you haveย thatย on burgers? Haha, my dad likes talking about once when he was really little and a friend of his family made mince pies, which he mistook forย meatย pies. So he got a nasty surprise. I can’t think of any times I’ve done anything like that, excepting for the classic “I thought it was a chocolate chip cookie but no, it’s raisins”. I hate raisins ๐Ÿ˜›

                  @seekjustice I think ham and pineapple pizza is the original “Hawaiian pizza” which was invented in Canada.ย  Hawaiians say it’s not Hawaiian pizza. ๐Ÿ˜‰ย  But I believe yes, it is fairly common in America.ย  I’ve personally never had it, because we don’t eat ham.

                  Um…doย you have pineapple on burgers?ย  I’ve had pineapple with a lot of meats before, but I can’t say I’ve had it on a burger.ย  Sounds like you have a lot more burger choices than my family does! ๐Ÿ˜›

                  Haha, I’ve never had mince pies, though I’ve heard of them often.ย  Have you had them?ย  do you like them?ย  You hate raisins?ย  How sad. ๐Ÿ˜€ย  I have to admit, though, there are certain places raisins could be done without.

                  I was just thinking, after you said you were doing a character outline, what if novel writers had their beta readers do character outlines for the characters after they read the book?ย  That would be an interesting way to see whether the character came across in the way the author intended.ย  What do you think?

                    Yes, I think so. It’s a pizza stable here, and I think the cheapest pizza you can buy ๐Ÿ˜€ Do you not eat ham because of your Middle Eastern background?

                    Yes, we do ๐Ÿ˜€ Though at restaurants it usually only comes on expensive burgers.

                    I have had them before but I don’t like them. I really like fruit, but I’m strictly a fresh fruit person. I really don’t like it dried, though snapdried mangos and strawberries are really good.

                    That would be quite amusing (feel free to go ahead ๐Ÿ˜› ). And then go compare and contrast with the original character sketches written by the author…I don’t know if it would induce despair or relief? If you’re characters don’t come across the way you meant them too, that could be good or bad, just depending.

                      @seekjustice Yes, it’s because of the Middle Eastern background.ย  Wow, that was a quick connection you made!

                      I like fresh fruit too, and agree that dried fruit is not the best.ย  I like dried apricots and mango a lot.ย  Dried cranberries are probably my favorite, but those have to be sweetened, because they’re extremely sour. ๐Ÿ˜‰ย ย What do you think of frozen fruit?ย  That’s more similar to fresh fruit than dried is.ย  I like it a lot, especially frozen blueberries.ย  And frozen mango goes in all my stir fries.

                      Oh yes, imagine if your character analysis for Justice in SFI came back like this:

                      • Character traits: Amiable, softhearted, polite
                      • Desires: Love, mercy for all, reunion with his estranged family

                        @rochellaine

                        I have a friend who’s mother knows a lot about the culture and has done some travelling, so I hear about it quite a lot.

                        Our family doesn’t eat frozen fruit, except for putting in smoothies or milkshake sort of things. I think my siblings like eating frozen blueberries a bit.

                        Actually, I can tell you that I do like canned fruit a lot, particularly canned peaches and mangos. Whenever we go travelling we take a lot of canned fruit because there’s a lot of problems with fruit fly here, which means you can’t take fresh fruit over most state borders. So we eat canned fruit and I like that, especially with whipped cream.

                        If that happened, I’m not sure I’d believe they’d actually read it. ๐Ÿ˜›

                            @seekjustice I see. ๐Ÿ™‚

                            Have you ever had frozen grapes?ย  We freeze them ourselves, just washing them and putting them in a plastic bag in the freezer.ย  They’re an amazing summer snack.ย  Would you believe it…we’ve actually frozen raisins too. ๐Ÿ˜›ย  We used to put frozen raisins in our oatmeal for breakfast.ย  I remember liking it quite a lot, though I’m not sure if I would now.ย  Canned fruit is great!ย  I’ve never had it with whipped cream, though.ย  Sounds good.

                            Actually I think this may be one of the cases where I’d have to have read it to get it so perfectly wrong, don’t you think? ๐Ÿ˜›

                            I wrote another comic poem a couple of days ago. Would you be interested in reading it?ย  I’d like a bit of input on whether it makes sense or not. (Of course it doesn’t really make sense…my poems never really do…but I want to know if you can tell what’s going on.)
