@jenwriter17 As I’ve already explained all I’ve done in 2021 is be cuddled up in bed listening to an audiobook so it’s been pretty good.
I’m not sure about it being well-written at the moment, but thanks for the sentiment 😛 My next one is a historical novel set in an alternate world (fantasy, but without magic? Or anything fantasy?? I don’t know) and it’s got romance and adventure and pirates, so I would guess its more your thing.
I can crochet a chain and that’s about it. I did try to learn, but I get frustrated with anything I’m not good at immediately 😀 I would like to try again though someday.
The animals are doing pretty well! I’ve got three dogs now and have applied to look after two more big ones for the short term, so we’ll see whether they end up with us for a bit. I’ve also finished my dog training study, so that’s exciting!

December 31, 2020 at 4:55 pm #88241December 31, 2020 at 5:13 pm #88242Historical, alternate world, pirates…well, that sounds like a lot of fun. 😀
Haha, I did the same thing with knitting. I got the basic stitch down and lost interest. 😛
Congratulations! 😀 So are you an official dog trainer now? What breed are the new ones you’re hoping for?
Our Pyrenees mama had ten babies a couple of months ago, and the last one went to its new family a couple of days ago. They were adorable puppies. My sister taught a couple of them to sit and shake hands before they left…so cute! 🙂

December 31, 2020 at 5:17 pm #88243A word war is where you and another writer (or writers) get together and choose a short amount of time, usually five, ten, or fifteen minutes, and then you write as fast as you can during that time, without checking grammar, spelling, or facts. Then when the time is up, you count the words you’ve written, and see who’s written the most in that time, and that person’s the winner.
It’s a really good anti-distraction technique since you basically have to type without thinking of anything but your story. It’s also good for writer’s block, because you just make yourself write, even if you end up deleting it later.

December 31, 2020 at 5:30 pm #88245I am keen to write it! I think it will be a lot of fun.
Yes I am! Completely certified 😀 The new ones are Bull Arabs, which is an aussie breed which look like Great Danes but a little bit smaller. They’re from a pound in Queensland and just need someone to look after them and train them until they’re adopted.
I love Pyrenees and I’ll bet the little pups are like tiny poofy clouds 😛 Tens a lot though! I know she’s had puppies before, does she usually have so many all at once?

Kapeefer til we're old and greyDecember 31, 2020 at 5:40 pm #88247Well, that should be fun, if you do get them. How old are they?
Yeah, that’s pretty much what they looked like. 😀 Ten is a lot. But I think that’s a normal size litter for Pyrenees. She had nine last time. She’s a great mom, too. Usually large breed dogs like that tend to accidentally sit on their babies the first week or so because they’re so tiny the mamas can’t feel them, so you have to watch carefully to rescue the puppies the first few days until they’re big enough. But our mama, Pearl, knows how to scoop the babies out from under her when she lies down and didn’t sit on a single one. We’re very proud of her.
Have any of your dogs ever had a litter of puppies at your place?

December 31, 2020 at 5:40 pm #88248December 31, 2020 at 5:43 pm #88249Hey! I’ve been a little bit busy getting ready to head to Virginia in about 2 weeks for school, but overall well. How about you? How’s everything going for you?
They’ve been great! My oldest sister, her husband, and their baby are visiting until the 5th so my family has been greatly enjoying spending time with them. How about for you?

Kapeefer til we're old and greyDecember 31, 2020 at 5:54 pm #88250Oh yes! We’re going to have to get together – with @jenwriter17 too – sometime once you’re here. What are you planning on studying?
Visiting with family is really great. 🙂 I’m sure being an aunt is awesome. My brother and sister-in-law live next door, and they’re going to have a baby in the spring, so we’re terribly excited about that. 😉
Extended family didn’t get a chance to visit this year, but we had a great Christmas anyway. We put up a lot of decorations, and ate sweets, played Christmas music all December long, and had a really fun gift exchange Christmas morning.

December 31, 2020 at 6:01 pm #88251I’m going to have to go now. It was great chatting with you!
Hope to talk again soon. Happy New Year and write on!

December 31, 2020 at 6:02 pm #88252@rochellaine, Yes! we definitely need to do that. I’ll be at Liberty in Lynchburg studying nursing with a focus on missions (which is why I picked Liberty, because that had the missions built into one of their nursing programs)
How exciting! Being an aunt is my favorite thing right now, I love it so much. It’s nice that they’re so close to you.
You’re engaged, right? I’m not imagining that you said that a few months ago? How’s that been?
That sounds like a really great Christmas. One of my favorite things about the Christmas season is sitting under the lights on the Christmas tree in the early morning reading a book. Something about that is so peaceful and calming to me
