I just stared an audio book of The Story Peddler by Lindsay A. Franklin and I like it so far.
Would I be able to share the short story I’m working on here once I’ve done some revisions? I’m just wondering since I would love some second opinions and I want to make sure before I do it. ๐
Do you all have any favorite sci-fi’s? I want to dabble my toes in sci-fi books but I really only know of ones on the secular side of things. Also, have any of you read Dune?

@rochellaine MaryLu Tyndall’s books are super interesting–I definitely recommend them! I have not read anything by Rafael Sabatini, but he’s certainly on my to-read list.
@jenwriter17 I look forward to it! My family watches a TON of old shows, so I’ll give you a few suggestions.#1ย The Waltons. Came out in the 70’s and is set in the Depression-era Virginia mountains. Clean, simple family show. We love it!
#2ย Lost in Space. The whole family has watched the new Netflix version (which is really good for a Netflix show, actually), but my dad grew up with the original 70’s version. It’s about a family lost in space–kind ofย Star Trek like.
#3ย Little House on the Prairie.ย This one’s a classic for a reason.
What are some of the shows your family has watched?
@scoutfinch180 I’ve heard a lot of good things aboutย The Story Peddler, but I haven’t read it yet. You’ll have to let me know what you think about it.You can definitely share your short story! We should have a section for short story critiques that you can post it in! Also, you should be able to submit it to KP once you’re done too!
Well, we’re Star Wars/Marvel fans at my house, so that’s the extent of my sci-fi knowledge, but I’m pretty sure there are several Christian sci-fi books out there. C. S. Lewis wrote some sci-fi. A lot of the Christian stuff that they count as sci-fi is more apocalyptic or speculative, so…
@alia @valtmy @dekreel I’ll be around for a little while…y’all here?November 18, 2020 at 4:33 pm #87305Thanks! I was just dragging my feet because I have been known to give too much information before. But I really think having people outside my immediate circle of people to critique what i write will be a positive influence. ๐

@scoutfinch180 It’s definitely great to have an objective person critique your work. I know I’ve had some great feedback on stuff from my fellow KeePers!

@jenwriter17 More multitasking! ๐ Some designing, blogging, etc. How goes the editing? Are you working on any other projects?
November 19, 2020 at 3:28 pm #87319@gracie-j Cool! ๐ Currently I am enjoying a break from editing while the book is with beta readers. I’m going back and forth between working on scene outlines for a sequel book and researching random things.

www.jennaterese.comNovember 21, 2020 at 4:08 pm #87350I am happy to hear that your book is in it’s editing process! that must be so cool. The closest i ever came to publishing is sending my English assignments to my teacher and a draft for a TERRIBLE short story I sent to the teacher of a creative writing course at a local library a few years back.
By the way (this is for the whole group) do you know at what point in my revising process i should submit my short story to the group?
