Life insurance rules and regulations. My dad’s a financial planner, and I’m doing some work with the family business.
I’ve been wanting to ask you, what are some of your favorite swashbuckling novels/movies? (I assume you like the genre since you’re writing about pirates…?) 😛

www.jennaterese.comNovember 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm #87288@gracie-j Actually I’m looking for websites that pay for submitted flash fiction. 🙂

@rochellaine Interesting! I love PotC, of course–the first three, mind you. The last two fell flat. And book-wise, MaryLu Tyndall writes great Christian pirate romance, if you ask me!
@jenwriter17 Ooh…let me know what you find! What kind of flash fiction have you written?Guys, I’ll have to sign off now…my little brother just peed all over the floor. Catch ya later?

I haven’t heard of MaryLu Tyndall, but I just looked her up and her books sound fun. 🙂 Have you read any of Rafael Sabatini’s books or seen any of the old 30s swashbuckling movies?
I’m doing great. 🙂
Have you read any good books lately?
"Sylvester - Sylvester!"
November 17, 2020 at 2:27 pm #87292@gracie-j I will! 😀 I might do a whole blog post on it too… Okay, see ya later!
I just finished All the Queen’s Sons by Elizabeth Kipps and I’m starting the first book in C. S. Lewis’ sci-fi trilogy, which is really good so far. Watched any good musicals lately?

www.jennaterese.comNovember 17, 2020 at 2:47 pm #87293I liked the first book in the space trilogy. It had some pretty interesting worldbuilding. I didn’t read the other two. My older brother told me the third wasn’t good. I don’t know why I didn’t read the second. 😛
Yes, I just found Only the Brave, a musical about the British gliders preparing for the D-Day invasion, and the French resistance. It was really good…despite the fact that one of the main characters died at the end, which made my sister-in-law really disappointed. 🙂

November 17, 2020 at 2:56 pm #87294I’ll let you know how book 2 is when I get to it. 😉
Ooh, cool, I’ll have to check that one out! I’m always on the lookout for new musicals. 🙂 Which reminds me: what are your top recommendations for old shows (60’s-ish)? My family’s looking to change up our regular shows. 🙂

www.jennaterese.comNovember 17, 2020 at 6:26 pm #87297Can i jump in? I just will. 😁
For movies of the 1960’s-ish, Singing in the Rain is good. it is a musical set in the 1920’s when films switched over from silent to talkies and it follows an famous actor and his transition and a girl he falls in love with. it’s pretty good, and the love interest is played by Carrie Fischer’s mom.
I find The Space Trilogy excellent. I have read it and then listened to it on audiobook a second time with my family. Do you know why your brother didn’t like the last book? It is on earth instead of another planet.
We crazy people are the normal ones.
