@annabethkatherinewingfeather I haven’t watched the show yet, but I want to.
Where'd I get ya this time? The liver? The kidney? I'm runnin' outta places to put holes in ya.
February 20, 2024 at 5:46 pm #176360Well, I’ve only ever read the later versions of the books (my family got into them probably two years ago). I’ve seen all of the first season and really enjoyed them. They will never take the place of the books for me, but then movies never do.
As to “The Places Beyond the Maps”, I actually didn’t read that one, although I did read most of the Wingfeather Tales. I do know what happens (due to having siblings XD), and can say that it’s a little more than confusing.
And Janner…of course he is revived and he and Sarah will be close friends for a few years before eventually getting married at like – 19 or something. (And Kalmar is certainly marrying Galya)

Fork the GorkApril 12, 2024 at 11:46 pm #178901Probably unpopular opinion: Nia and Esben were the books cutest couple. Even cuter than Janner and Sara, Kalmar and Galya, and Leeli and
oh darn I forgot his name. And their reunion was sooooo sweet! I wish Esben hadn’t died right after.😢The squirrels are collecting more nuts than usual this winter. I've already lost 3 relatives.
April 15, 2024 at 12:40 pm #178942@theducktator I know! It was so sad!

April 19, 2024 at 12:04 pm #178991That death made me madder than possibly any other death/supposed death in the books. It was sweet though, that each of the kids got to feel their father’s love in their own special way.
Pete though. Pete hurt.

Wait Pete doesn’t die? Pete like Artham? Am I forgetting something lol 😭?
"And so I left this world just as I had entered it. Confused."
April 27, 2024 at 11:45 am #179238What?! Oops…no Artham doesn’t die. (It did sound like that, now looking back at my wording XD)
No, I was referring to Pete’s anguish when he realizes his little brother is still alive (although fading fast and is not responding to the… telepathy thing).

@koshka @theducktator I just finished rereading the series yesterday! Then scrolled through fanfics after the open ending cause I really want to know what happens even if it’s not official eeeeeeeSomeone pointed out that maybe part of the reason Mr. Peterson left the ending open was for the readers to imagine how it went. Some of them would want Janner to come back, others would think his sacrifice was a sufficient end to his story. So it’d be better off to leave it the readers.

Oh, I see that now. I was confused at first too, lol.
