I’d be open to creating our own community. Slack would probably work for me, I’d have to check with my parents about Discord since I don’t have it yet. There’s also Group Me… which I don’t know much about, but plenty of youth groups seem to use it for announcements (not sure if you can create mini channels or anything like that.)

I’ve used GroupMe a lot. You can create subtopics and stuff like that, but I’m not sure how well it would work for a substitute KP. It’s a group messenging app, not a forum layout…?

I use Slack for work, and that might work, but again there would be more limitations on how many channels can be created, and messages disappearing after 90 days. I also don’t think GroupMe would work very well, from the minimal experience I’ve had with it. I’ve never had Discord, so I can’t speak for that one.
Is anyone on here techy enough to create a new website, if it comes down to it?

I just sent another message through the Contact Us page. I checked around for an email and found ‘kingdompenmag@gmail.com.’ I’m not sure if this is the only inbox KP uses, so I’m going to wait for a while before directly using this email instead of Contact Us.
I think the best thing to do right now is to have a backup plan, and try to get somebody’s attention. Sure, we could just pack up and leave, but there’s a LOT to pack up. We have active roleplays and history on this website. It would be a shame to lose most of it.
There are two ‘ends to KP’ I foresee. One, the moderators declare forum shutdown, just like Story Embers. This is a legit possibility. Two, the website becomes too buggy to use.
I really want to find a way to contact people and ask them if they would be willing to pass some of the responsibilities to online members of the website. I’m not sure how that will work. I can contact YWW, because some of the directors on YDubbs (Josiah DeGraaf, at the very least) have history with KP.
Please tag me if you want me to contact YWW about this.

I also don’t want to leave unless we’re banished. If you think contacting Sir. DeGraaf will help, then I would say, try it. Even if it’s just for advice on facing down bugs. Do you know if he knows the current KP moderators?

I would not probably join another form of social media. It’s one thing if it’s a closed forum, which would be fantastic, and which I wouldn’t mind paying a small fee to help support. (Small, as in up to $50 a year.) I don’t know much about other media, except that I don’t love it.

We already have Groupme for crew, so I can do that, I just don’t know how well it’d work for us.

I would NEVER use Discord. I have a friend with Discord, and I’ve heard things from him about it. Slack, maybe. My parents would have to agree. But like Elishavet said, I don’t want to leave KP unless we have to.
