@hope Oh yes! We can buy a secret camera, and then (since she doesn’t know what I look like) I can pay a visit to her cabins and install it! *goes off in insane laughter*

November 6, 2016 at 8:44 pm #20481@Hope don’t you dare.
@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise yep, I’m lucky. I can shout and sing and die and scream all I want. π
No I haven’t, mainly because I can’t swim and am terrified of water anyway. :/November 6, 2016 at 8:45 pm #20482*shakes head* You guys…
November 6, 2016 at 9:00 pm #20484@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Why…why have I not thought of that? *adds ‘dead fall into water onto next summer’s list* I have fallen into water, but not because I was pretending to be dead and mindset is everything.
Have you ever been in water almost as deep as yourself, then exhaled and let yourself sink until you are laying along the bottom of the lake? It’s a bit creepy, but fun too.

November 6, 2016 at 9:04 pm #20485@kate-flournoy This we must fix.
@hope Next year for Quaker Haven I need you to go kidnap Kate and bring her to camp so we can help her overcome her fear of water, even if she doesn’t learn how to swim. That’s what life jackets are for. @anne-of-lothlorien can’t technically swim, but she’s great in the water with a life-jacket (and she’s getting better without). Kate, I know it may seem scary (I used to be scared too- but that was due to a scary dream I had when I was like 3 where villains tied up my brother with scarves and drowned him in a bathtub. Very traumatic to my young mind. I begged my mother for months not to give him a bath… anyway.), but it’s a very useful talent, and it may one day save your life. So please, accept our invitation to come to camp in July or August where you will be surrounded by fellow Christians who will not make fun of you, but will help you overcome your fear.Oh boy. That sounded like a dumb tv commercial. But anyway, if you and Hope and I shared a tent it wouldn’t cost you hardly anything. I love this idea! Hope, we need to see what we can do to make this happen. Would you be interested, Kate?

November 6, 2016 at 9:07 pm #20486@Hope aiy-ya-yi, now you’re gettin’ weird. π I don’t ever want to risk my life in pursuit of experience, thank you very much. The worst I’ve ever done with water is go under in a pool and just go limp and let myself float to the top like a dead fish. Then when I stand up my hair’s all over the place and my siblings call me Poisedon… so complimentary.
@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise oh boy… π That actually does sound fun, but no in advance because of the cabin business. It’s extremely rare we ever get a break long enough to actually go somewhere, and then we usually like to go somewhere as a family.
Thanks though. Appreciate the thought. πNovember 6, 2016 at 9:07 pm #20487@hope YES!! I love sinking to the bottom. At Quaker Haven, @anne-of-lothlorien and I would sink to the bottom and lay there very dramatically like that one character in literature somewhere whose name is currently eluding me… π It’s also really cool to see how distorted the sun becomes. And then you’re just sitting there and a fish swims by… oh, I love the lake! π
And yes, add it to your list. It’s so much fun, preciousss…. π

November 6, 2016 at 9:08 pm #20488@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Elaine? The Lady of Shalott?
November 6, 2016 at 9:09 pm #20489@kate-flournoy Argh. Well… any good lakes by you? Maybe we can just kidnap you for the day sometime. π (As long as they aren’t in some way connected to the see, since there’s this shark that’s getting used to freshwater and swimming up the Mississippi… there was actually a shark attack in Lake Michigan once. I’m not kidding. π )

November 6, 2016 at 9:12 pm #20490@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise AUGH!!! No! No lakes anywhere around us! Nowhere for miles and miles and miles! Thank you! Hello! Goodbye! Good morning! *slams door*
November 6, 2016 at 9:19 pm #20491@Corissa-Maiden-of-Praise Well, even if Kate can’t come, I may have to see if I can make it to the camp this year. I can’t swim but I do enjoy water… π

November 6, 2016 at 9:29 pm #20493@corissa-maiden-of-praise @sleepwalkingMK TEST DRIVE! Yes, I love that song. All HTTYD songs get to me.
@daeus Well, that’s good. I’m glad its not too complex.
@kate-flournoy My brains not keeping up with all this, so I’m just going to insert myself here and hope for the best.Okay, so I have a talking-to-my-stuff example for you all. I was untangling string and ended up shouting at it and saying, “I will have victory over you!!! You shall not evade me forever!”

November 6, 2016 at 9:32 pm #20495@kate-flournoy Oh, c’mon. Have you ever read the Mandie books??? If not… you should. And you should also learn how to swim. *goes off to do some research about lakes around Hocking Hills*
@hope YES! You must come. We are going to have a blast… this year we actually took time to go to the gym and relate the scary dreams we’d recently had… it was quite fun. Mine included dead people and kidnappings, complete with an escape with some help from Pastor S. and Joel drove the get-away car. By the end, I think Morgan and I had everyone officially convinced we were insane… oh yes, and Pastor S. taught us the proper way to play four-square, and we all had different nicknames for when we were “queen.” @anne-of-lothlorien was the rebel queen, I was the barbarian queen, Anna was the rightful queen, Melody was the dust queen, etc. π
@dragon-snapper NOOO! *revives you* *runs from sputtering flames* Don’t die. You’ll catch up eventually, I promise… π And that’s hilarious with the string. I hate it when things become tangled… especially necklace chains. AUGH!"Courage is action in spite of fear."

I meant sea. π π
