Dear friends and fellow countrymen,
I have been attempting to find the emails of KP leaders/directors/moderators. In my search, I have discovered that the emails I have tried ending with @kingdompen.org don’t work. Any blogs I come across are dead.
*Raises hand* I have, however, found four hopes. 1: A fellow by the name of Josiah DeGraaf started on the website and helped create another program, the popular Young Writer’s Workshop. I anticipate emailing him once I dig through my contacts and figure out what to say. ? 2: The KP website is a weird one, and sometimes I search up something through Google and it will take me to a KP page I didn’t know existed. So it’s possible I’m just not finding the email addresses yet. 3: Through that same method of searching through Google, I found Reagan Ramm and his wife’s facebook account. I want to leave them alone because they are very busy and I don’t have facebook anyway. (Although I discovered they met through KP, which is really cool for them. :]) 4: I think there are people on Story Embers?
All that to say, this is a topic where we can talk about this issue and work out a solution.

I might have the Lady of Poetry Abigail Metzger’s personal writing email somewhere in my files. I at least have access to an old WIP doc of hers. Not sure how much good she can do us, but it’s another contact for hope.
A cup of tea is cheaper than therapy.

Ah so you might be interested to know that the Story Embers forum was shut down (Maybe a year or two ago?). My sister was an active member at the time and I guess it just wasn’t important enough or the people running it didn’t have the time.
The problem is that KP isn’t letting new members on, right?
Yeah It’s kinda sad but with the very few times I’ve seem moderators active here I just kinda figure they have other things to do :/
I don’t think sending an email is a bad idea, do you think it not letting on new members is a glitch? Maybe it’s reached some kind of members limit? One idea for sending a email is to make it clear you’re asking about the issue not asking for a fix, because we don’t really know what the situation is. Like instead of ‘is ____ going to be fixed’ it could be ‘Are you aware ___ is broken?’ so that if they don’t plan on fixing it it doesn’t have to be awkward. Not sure if any of that helps lol

Indeed! I am kind of surprised we haven’t had a visit from Wyoh or the other bugs in a while.
Ooh, I suppose I should have mentioned what’s going on. Basically we can’t contact any KP leaders. All of their names have been taken off the Meet the Team page. People haven’t been able to create new accounts, so we haven’t gotten new members in the past year. (It’s been roughly a year, I think?) Because the team is gone, we can’t publish new articles or short stories as well. And if a bug hits the website and causes too much trouble for the forum to work, who’s going to fix it? It’s happened before.
There’s also the fact that Story Embers shut down their forums, like Min mentioned. And Story Embers was a sister website to KP, so KP might do the same thing. We have a lot of members so I think it would be silly to shut it down, but *shrugs* it’s possible.
Yeah, I remember that. And yes, that’s the main problem. So many of our members join by recommendation, often from YWW, but I wasn’t able to recommend KP to people during CWW because of this.

Girl you just unlocked a new fear that KP will one day become outdated and stop working *cries* and I’m so scared that we’ll all lose contact…that would be so saddd
