lololol. This book has already been written, and I’m not changing anything, so don’t worry about that. You can email the ideas to me so as to keep the others in the dark though. 😉

March 21, 2025 at 1:37 pm #200533Don’t have too much to say for this section. It was fine.
Just one thing:
Well, Hans is nineteen.
It feels like 90% of your characters are males between 16 and 30. Yes, there have been exceptions, but everywhere they go, they run into eager young men. It might be nicer to see some more variety in characters, even if older men are harder to write.

March 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm #200536Nice.
ugh!!! Why did I know it would be you who would say that?! ðŸ˜
This is a big step for me! I used to only write people my own age or eighteen. Eighteen was the magic year that was always perfect to write. 😂
I have had some older characters…… somewhere……….. I know there were some.
The badguys! I had some older badguys!!
*whimper* I’ll try to throw some others in. I think i have a few……

March 21, 2025 at 2:01 pm #200537Also, as for them majority being males, I grew up in a household of boys, and my sister came along when I was already in my teens. Sooo…. boys have always been easy for me to write because I can watch them. I find girls harder because I don’t really live with older girls.

March 21, 2025 at 2:03 pm #200538Why not bump Hans to twenty-one? So small a change shouldn’t mess up your plotting ect. but it looks like a new number. You do have a lot of ‘teens.

Fork the GorkMarch 21, 2025 at 2:39 pm #200544that’s all you have to say about that section?!?!
*nod*
Oh, and…Dietrich sounds like a very interesting character. I hope you don’t kill him since I like him.

March 21, 2025 at 2:52 pm #200545Uh, 21 is still between 16-30

you are insufferable.
😂
NOTHING about Marius and the prince?

CALLED IT!!
As I was editing I was like….. this is going to be her favorite character!

March 21, 2025 at 3:12 pm #200549True, but you couldn’t really make him 60, and you do have a lot of teens.

*sheepish grin* I guess you know how to write a “Liberty’s favorite character” now.

I know. I like to write characters that are that age as well. Alan, Martha, Eric, James, and Tyn are all not too far from that (Oliver’s a few years older).
Just in the setting you have, it would be more believable to have a wider variety.
Also, as for them majority being males, I grew up in a household of boys, and my sister came along when I was already in my teens. Sooo…. boys have always been easy for me to write because I can watch them. I find girls harder because I don’t really live with older girls.
Ah. That makes sense.
Uh, 21 is still between 16-30
Koshka’s right. Sure it is still in that age range, but the majority of your young men have been teens, so even this would be refreshing.

March 21, 2025 at 5:40 pm #200568Imperial soldiers are young.
I only have two other teens.

March 21, 2025 at 5:41 pm #200569Except maybe the slave part. It dosen’t feel odd that all the slaves are men, even if there could be, and have been female slaves.

March 21, 2025 at 5:45 pm #200573yeah, the girl slaves were in the house.
Okay…. maybe. That’s a big gap between the twins tho. I may change it. I have a new character in his 20s coming in.

March 22, 2025 at 7:11 am #200580I have a book I’m about to start writing once I wrap up CR, and I think you’re gonna go head over heals for the MC. Or the MC’s best friend. One of the two. It’s going to be a you sort of book. 😂
