Haha. That’s funny. we’re complete opposite! I struggle with never ever ever being wrong. Ever. Things just “happen to me” and often times “the world just hates me and is out to get me.” 😂
I have never struggled with blaming myself for something, but rather blaming others when it’s my fault or when blame isn’t even supposed to be a part of the equation.
This could be interesting to try…. but I’m not sure Julian and Leon feel like that sort of person…….. do either of them feel that way to you?
If it makes you feel better, I was playing a board game with my dad and sister, and the villain was introduced as Roland, which we all had a laugh at. But as the game continued, we found out this Roland was the leader of a blood cult. Ewww.
Oh gross. Did you chuck the game after that?

I guess both of them do seem to be confident individuals. Julian is certainly a blame others type, considering his reaction to Adrian’s death. Leon, I’m not so sure about it.
I’m just realizing several of my characters tend to blame themselves like I do. Alan, Martha, and Oliver all would. Eric’s somewhere in the middle.
Haha. That’s funny. we’re complete opposite!
Well that just means we can advise each other on writing characters who are different from ourselves 🙂

No. We still have it, though we haven’t played it for a while. We just ignore the story when we do play it.

Yes, very much so.
I’m not really sure either. He’s somewhere in the middle honestly.

Ah, one of those games. We had one that we threw the cards out for and just play the combat character and board without the story cards. (we as in my dad and brothers)
btw, do you like RP type games?
There’s a new game that just came out called War Story: Occupied France. It’s a roll-playing game you do as a team. You are a team of SOE Agents who have been dropped into France to help the resistance, assassinate German commanders, gather information, rescue prisoners from the gestapo, and destroy forts and weapons. We lost three of our four Agents last time and failed our last of the three missions. You play in three sets. There is a collection of Agents from England who you can call in to help. We’ve lost four agents in two sets. We lost are negations agent, are technician, and our weapons master. We still have our sniper, and a few others, but the the agents we lost are really going to hurt in the third and final round. We may not make it through.
It’s actually set up really well and is historically accurate. I’ve not really ever enjoyed a board game so much!

I’ve kind of wanted to get into D&D, but with a group of Christians so that we can do a campaign without anything the anyone feels uncomfortable with. My friends has tried to start a Star Wars one a fet times, but that had never worked out.
That War Story: Occupied France sounds kind of neat, but I tend to be drawn more to fantasy than World War stuff.

March 8, 2025 at 2:05 pm #199475NO!!! No don’t do D&D. My two of my mom’s guy friends were killed through that game when she was a teenager.
I mean, you can do it with you want, but I’d really look into the history of that game. I know I’m asking for it, but that game originally had a lot of demonic attachments, and it’s something I’ve always steered clear of because of that.

March 8, 2025 at 2:05 pm #199476aaannnddd I may have overrated. I just….. yeah, I have opinions about that game.

March 8, 2025 at 2:07 pm #199477Understandable.
I have also considered making up a world with my friends and doing our own fantasy RPG in it.

March 8, 2025 at 5:04 pm #199492@ellette-giselle Weirdly enough, I actually kinda liked Julian’s POV. It was interesting to see someone who was technically monotheistic, but it wasn’t the true God, and how Julian reacted to that. I feel like even if you chuck the story for now, you should save the concept for either later in the book or a different one.

March 8, 2025 at 5:14 pm #199494So you like it? You think i should keep it?

March 8, 2025 at 6:16 pm #199503@ellette-giselle If it works better for your story to chuck it, then do that, but save the concept for later cause I found it really interesting, and I’m sure others would too.

March 8, 2025 at 6:17 pm #199504so yeah, you can keep it, but only if it works with the story.

March 9, 2025 at 6:59 am #199530So, keilah likes the scene that you have a problem with, linus! This is great. 🤣
Here’s an idea. What if I shift it a little so that the conversation happened a day or two after they had already been on the ship? Do you think that would work?

I read that verse today!
The next day, Roland was ready to go on, but there was no sign of Rolf and Leon.
Wow. He’s healing fast. I had a sprain before and it took 2 whole weeks to heal!
Oooh! I love Dian!
“Dian! Kom hier. Ek het jou hulp nodig.”
I think I know what he’s saying: “Dian! Come here. I need your help…with something”?? Is that what the last word says?
